This private tour begins on a unique note, as we visit the Bridge Between Continents, a bridge that crosses the continental divide between the North-American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Iceland is the only place in the world where the divide between the plates is so visible. When we are done crossing between continents, we head to the boiling mud pools known as Gunnuhver, a site of otherworldly natural beauty. Close by is Iceland's oldest lighthouse, which you will see up close as we hike along the magnificent cliffs and experience the full power of the ocean. The town of Grindavík is our next stop. Lunch is served there (lobster or lamb soup) and stop by the nearby Blue Lagoon for some photo opportunities. We then drive along the south coast, enjoying some magnificent scenery along the way. On the way to Reykjavik we pass through the town of Hafnarfjörður, known for its association with both Vikings and elves.

Northern lights hunt in a Super Jeep

Northern lights make winter nights in Iceland a mystical experience that you won't forget. The ride in a Super Jeep gives us the opportunity to visit remote places off the main roads and also offers an additional adventure factor on our tour. While we are waiting for the northern lights, I am happy to provide you with information about the northern lights, stars, the geology of other planets, and the formation of our solar system. I also have a bit of experience with photographing the Northern Lights and I can help you capture this unforgettable moment. (Both with professional cameras and with the smartphone) Northern lights are a natural phenomenon and therefore cannot be guaranteed. However, I always do my best to offer you an unforgettable experience. The sighting is highly dependent on the weather and cloud cover, so the tour can be canceled at very short notice due to poor weather conditions. Can only be booked from September to March. Weekend tours are also possible on request.

Northern lights hunting with plan G

In Norse mythology, aurora was Bifrost a bridge between earth and asgard - home of goods. It was guarded by the Heimdal and destroyed during ragnarok. Some attributed the aurora to reflections from the shields of the Valkyries - women chosen by Odin to guide fallen warriors to Valhalla. Others believed their glow came from the beautiful Viking goddess Freja, riding horseback on the sky. These days we know aurora is caused by solar wind and thanks to science and technology we can predict it with high possibility. We would like to offer you private hunting away from bus tours at remote spots visited by very few with a optional plan G. With us you take no risk! We'll contact you day before tour to discuss viewing probability and if due to spoiled weather we cancel the tour you'll be refunded or offered different date. As for the plan G - if weather would be mixed we can get underground first, explore cave and after watch northern lights or the other way around depending on the weather.
