You will also experience the many ways we survive living off-grid in the Hawaiian jungle. Our tour features a naturally formed uneven lava flow path that was created over 800 years ago. Our tikis are hand carved and made from Hawaiian Ohia and Guava wood. The amazing collection of lava rock sculptures features individual stones along with rare reliefs sculpted in situ. You will also experience The Okina prototype house. The Okina is a unique art installation structure built from recycled pallets and guava trees! It exhibits several pieces of amazing original mixed-media artwork along with an off-grid restroom featuring a compost toilet and a very unique shower.
