Private Tour Eat your way through Chinatown

We will not be taking you down "food street" or to any of the tourist places that Chinatown has a lot of. At Singabites we believe that the best way to explore an area like Chinatown is by trying local food, made by local vendors for locals to enjoy. As a private tour we will be experiencing Chinatown at your own pace. On this tour we'll explore the real Chinatown and see how the different Chinese communities have made Singapore their home. We'll see the old opium dens and hear the stories of how life was for the workers who came here from China in the 19th century. We'll try dishes from Teochew, Cantonese, Hainanese and Hokkien hawkers. We'll get a chance to learn about hawker life and to get some tricks and tips on how to order the right thing. We'll explore a wet market and learn about the unique way that people live in this part of Singapore. Our guides have mapped out their favourite hawkers and vendors that will tell you the real story of this area.

Southern Ridges Hiking Tour

Many people have always associated Mt Faber with the Cable Car station, not knowing there is more to discover in this area including its steep history stretching back more than 200 years ago. From the trailhead, a quick climb via Marang Trail to the highest point along the Southern Ridges yields panoramic views of Singapore’s beautiful harbour and the southern islands on one side and on another side. Next, we continue hiking along the Southern Ridges to discover interesting native flora and built heritage, and enjoy refreshing views atop the highest pedestrian bridge and one of the most beautiful bridges in Singapore – Henderson Waves. We will also visit one of the last remaining mangrove wetlands in the south, nestled in one of Singapore’s four nature reserves – Labrador Nature Reserve. Off-the-Beaten Track tour across 2 interesting local neighbourhood

Singaporeans originated from different countries and cultures, and this is what gives us our unique identity today. With this tour, we aim to take visitors beyond the city, on a cultural tour of the island. We begin in the local neighborhood of Ang Mo Kio, with a little known hobby that transcended the kampong era: Bird Singing. Brighten your morning with melodious chirps, followed by a visit to the local ‘Hawker Centre’ for coffee like a true local. The local exploration continues with a visit to a wet market and a hawker centre. After visiting the first neighborhood, we will proceed to another neighborhood, "Toa Payoh". Here, we will see the hustle and bustle of a local town centre. We will see an interesting "Tree Shrine" and we will also get to visit a HDB showflat. HDB Flats are public housings where 80% of the local population stays in. At the end of the tour, we can guarantee that all our guests will know everything about Singapore and the lifestyle of the locals.
