Tour to the Alkmaar Cheese market and Windmills from Amsterdam

Enjoy a full day Sightseeing tour to the Alkmaar Cheese market, windmills, the countryside, a local cheese and clogs factory and Volendam. The Alkmaar Cheese Market is the oldest and largest in the Netherlands. Since 1365, Alkmaar has had one cheese scale, and by 1612, the city had as many as four cheese scales. Even the Waagplein, where the cheese market has been held since its inception, has been expanded several times. Here are the most special windmills of The Netherlands such as the paint windmill, the sawmill, spices mill and peanut oil. Thereafter you will see how we make the original Dutch clogs and there is a possibility to buy clogs/wooden shoes and souvenirs. The second stop will be at the Henri Willig farm where they will teach you how they treat their cows and there is a possibility to see how they milk the cows. Thereafter it is time to taste more than 30 types of very nice Dutch cheese for free! Duration of the tour will be approx. 8 hours.

We will see a German Panther Tank, the bunker where Patton's troops reached Bastogne, McAuliffe Place with the General's statue and a Sherman Tank, the Mardasson Memorial with the iconic Bastogne War Museum.
