Chef’s Table – Wine Cellar Dinner Party in Budapest

In our view, a party has not really started until you have a glass of sparkling wine (pezsgő) in hand, so we’ll pour you a glass of bubbles as soon as you arrive. From then, the dishes and the wine will keep coming for the next few of hours! Chef Tamás will narrate the food, and our sommelier will tell stories about the wines in your glasses. You can expect some welcome bites, an appetizer, a bit of charcuterie, two main courses, farmstead cheeses, and dessert paired with a glass of sweet Tokaji Aszú, Hungary’s signature sweet wine, known for its amazing elegance and concentration. Though the menu changes for every occasion, Tamás bases his style on the Hungarian classics, which he prepares in a modern style (with his own magic touches). Ingredients are always local, seasonal, bought straight from his usual market vendors or from the farmers and producers we work with. At the end of the meal, we’ll set out a few types of local cheese, while you enjoy a digestive from our collection.
