The eastern suburbs of Sydney have great beaches, history, lots of energy and vibrancy. The day starts at Bondi Beach and the best way to see this famous beach is by taking a walk along the promenade. We then move to the coastal walkway which winds around the scenic beaches of Tamarama and Bronte. Watsons Bay is next, where there is an option of doing a short walk to Hornby Lighthouse which provides spectacular views of Sydney Harbour. We start at Bradleys Head and do a short bushwalk to some military relics with an interesting history. At Georges Heights we will see the Gunners Barracks and sweeping views of the harbour. We then head to popular Balmoral Beach for a stroll on the boardwalk and at Manly Beach a highlight is a walk via an aquatic reserve to pretty Shelley Beach.
