Campervan Rentals Nova Scotia

Did you know that Nova Scotia in Latin means New Scotland? Well who would have thought! But alas I digress. Nova Scotia is classified as one of Canadas maritime provinces, of which there is three in total. Another useful titbit is that Nova Scotia is also located almost exactly between the Arctic Circle and the Equator.

The capital city of Nova Scotia is Halifax, which is home to nearly one million people. Nova Scotia is the second smallest of the provinces in Canada, and has a very small landmass of only just over 53,000 square kilometres, but oddly enough is the second most highly densely populated of the Canadian provinces.

In addition to these statistics, there are over 3,500 islands which lay off the coastline of Nova Scotia. The other major cities located within Nova Scotia are Capee Breton, Truro, New Glasgow, Glace Bay and Kentville.

If your travels take you to Nova Scotia in your rented motorhome, there is an abundance of beautiful tourist attractions to take in such as Citadel Hill, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Halifax Public Gardens, Pier 21, the Fortress of Louisbourg, Bay of Fundy or the Canadian Navys HMCS Sackville Memorial.

One last recommendation, if you fancy a good Canadian beer would have to be the Alexander Keiths Brewery!
