With its IATA code of YYC, Calgary International Airport is the main airport servicing Calgary in Alberta, Canada. The airport was originally known as McCall Field, and is situated approximately 17 kilometres from the heart of the city of Calgary.

Services are available from the airport to destinations such as Europe, East Asia, Mexico, the United States and domestic locations throughout Canada. The airport is the headquarters for WestJet, and is also a hub for Air Canada, and Air Canada Express. Preclearance facilities for entry into the United States is also available from the airport.

Calgary International Airport is the third busiest in Canada, both for passengers and aircraft movements. On average 14.3 million people move in and out of the airport. It is also listed as one of the provinces top employers, and the airport has the longest runway and tallest control tower of any of the airports in Canada.

The terminal building is comprised of four concourses, A, B, C and D.

Concourse A contains gates 1 to 19, and is primarily used for outbound domestic flights, although US outbound flights without Pre Clearance and some international flights can leave from this concourse. Several of the gates are also reserved for domestic small propeller flights. There are five security lanes in Concourse A, which are also used for screening passengers using Concourse B.

Concourse B which has gates 20 to 28 are called swing gates, and can channel passenger traffic into Concourse C. This simply means that depending on flight volumes and so forth, that these gates can be solely used for inbound or outbound flights, both of which have different customs and immigration requirements associated with them.

Concourse C, as with Concourse B, gates 31 to 34 of this Concourse can channel passengers into Concourse D if required.

Concourse D is comprised of gates 31 to 50. This Concourse is predominately used for international arrivals and departures, however some of the gates are used for regional flights.
