This day trip takes you through the charming Garmisch-Partenkirchen to the Zugspitze, the highest mountain in Germany. You start your ascent with the new cable car, which will take you to the almost 3,000 meter high mountain peak in just ten minutes. After enjoying the exhilarating views over more than 400 peaks, you can explore the countryside on a short hike.
For those who like things a bit faster, a toboggan hill is available on the eternal ice during the summer months. Toboggans can be borrowed free of charge. In the many restaurants (which also offer vegetarian and halal menus) you can indulge in culinary delights. The descent then takes place with the historic rack railway.

Beautiful scenery and wonderful experience! Sven was the perfect tour guide from beginning to end. His enthusiasm was infectious as he described the towns we passed through on our bus ride to the mountain.

Beautiful scenery and successful timing! We had super nice weather, so the view from the top was stunning! Our guide Sven was very helpful and told us a lot about mountain, Alps, Germany and its heritage

My husband and I went on the day trip from Munich to Zugspitze mountain wth Greyline Tours, it was a very good relaxing day, the pick up location & other information was all clear, the guide, Sven, was very friendly & gave good clear instructions and good information of the areas we passed.
The surrounding town was very beautiful & scenic with all the old traditional houses & restaurants.
Overall it was very enjoyable & I would recommend this tour to take.

This was an amazing day trip! A nice break the busy feel of München, this tour was great. Our guide, Sven, did a wonderful job of speaking both English and German fluently to inform us of things to look out for on the way to Zugspitze on the bus, as well as the best way to spend our time at the mountain itself. The cable cars and cog wheel trains all have amazing views & the beer tastes even better up in the clouds! Highly recommend this tour & especially this tour group - mainly Sven!!

The weather was excellent, so we have enjoyed the astonishing views! Sven is a great guide, in the bus he talked about Bavaria, Zugspitze and touched on some other historical / geographical facts, that have a comprehensive understanding of the region and its context

What a wonderful trip. Three different modes of transport to get us up and down the mountain, glorious views from all directions and an excellent guide, Sven. The weather kept changing and at one point it snowed a little to add to the glorious snow that had fallen the day before.
A not to miss trip !

Zugspitze day trip was truly the highlight of my trip to Munich. The tour was fully booked, well organized and very punctual. The instructions given by tour leader Sven was very clear and the driver Andre was great. I highly recommend this tour if you love mountains, and unique scenery.
