This is a must. The crew was incredible.
Donna and Saché (I know I didn’t spell it right) were great and funny (zip line). Highlight of the day was tubing with our funny host (Mario what’s my name) always joking, funny we laught all the way down the river. I’ll go back anytime. Marilyn and Danny (Canada)

Our family of four, including three adults and our 8-year-old son, embarked on the Ocho Rios Mountain to Sea: Zip, Tube & Party Cruise tour with Chukka Island Outpost/White Valley, and it was nothing short of extraordinary.

From the moment we arrived at the Island Outpost, we were warmly greeted by Mr. Durrant Clarke, our driver for the day. His friendly demeanor and insightful commentary made the journey to White River a delightful experience, setting the tone for the day ahead.

Upon arrival at the White River Valley Outpost, we were promptly briefed and whisked off to begin our adventure with the zipline. The experience, comprising four exhilarating lines, was made even more memorable by our two fantastic instructors, whose professionalism and infectious enthusiasm put us at ease, especially our first-time zipliner friend who couldn't stop raving about her fear-free experience.

Following the zipline, we swapped our gear for swimwear and joined Jay for a leisurely river tubing tour. Gliding down the river, punctuated by refreshing rapids and the occasional rum punch from a floating vendor, was an absolute blast.

Returning to our driver, we made our way back to Island Village Outpost for lunch at Island Coffees Cafe. While the meal was satisfactory, the service left something to be desired. Despite being regular patrons, the lackluster attention from the wait staff was disappointing, possibly due to our lunch arrangement through Chukka.

After lunch, we had ample time to explore before boarding the party catamaran at Ocho Rios Marina. Though we had to wait a bit for tardy passengers, the snorkeling excursion and sailing through the ocean waves, accompanied by lively music and delightful complimentary drinks (the rum punch was a standout), more than made up for it.

Overall, our day with Chukka Island Outpost/White Valley was absolutely fantastic. The pace was perfect, the staff were friendly and professional throughout, and the memories created will last a lifetime. We highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking adventure and fun-filled family experiences. Our son is already planning our next excursion with Chukka!

We booked the Zipline, tubing, and catamaran tour with rum and coffee tasting, authentic Jamaican lunch and the Jamaica Experience movie. The day before our excursion we recieved an email explaining that the catamaran wouldn't be going due to not enough people booking. They did offer to substitute the Dunn's falls, but we had already been there. We opted for a partial refund and were told the rest of the tour would stay the same. There was a lot of disorganization on arrival at the outpost. We were told to go watch the Jamaica experience movie in the theatre but then didn't play it. We waited and ended up just leaving the theatre in confusion as there had been no movie played and we just sat in the dark theatre. We asked if we had missed something or if we are supposed to be somewhere and we're told that we will be called when our bus is ready to go to the zipline/tubing. The crew at the zipline/tubing place was great. However unfortunately the zipline was only 3 lines.... Extremely over priced for 20 minutes of zipline experience. The tubing was wonderful though! The route was long and relaxing and lots of fun, great tour guides.
Over all not worth the price and lots of miss communication. We didn't get our rum and coffee tasting or our authentic Jamaican lunch even though we paid for it and instead were taken straight back to our hotel after. It was very confusing and felt very disorganized. I wouldn't have been upset if we had at least gotten the things we paid for. Not worth the cost at all. Still waiting to receive our partial refund for the catamaran as well.

We booked this tour with Carnival as I noticed some of the areas where over an our away from the port and wanted to make sure we will return in time for boarding. We met our guide few minutes after arriving and got into a bus with air conditioning. The trip was long but the guide kept all of us paying attention with information about the area's history. You will need plenty of mosquito repellent and sunscreen. A meal was provided, the food was good.

First the lows:
- Long bus ride that was not disclosed in the cruise (Celebrity) excursion. We skipped others because they said they had a 90+ minute bus ride and this was close to that.
- Description of the excursion made no mention of bug spray, but of sun block. Other excursions mentioned bug spray. We had, but did not bring bug spray. As we were in the jungle we did purchase a can off Off while we were there, for $15!!! OUCH!
- Lockers. We were told by our guide(s) that we weren't to leave anything on the bus and that we HAD to get lockers at $10 each. We were in Cozumel the day before and they were $5
- Pictures. DO NOT BUY THEIR PICTURES!!!. Please let me say this again for those in the back... DO NOT BUY THEIR PICTURES!!! There was a spot while zip lining and one when cave tubing when someone took our pictures. At the end of the tour and after lunch (which wasn't bad at all - contrary to other reviews) we went in the gift shop and reviewed the pictures that they took of my wife and I. They looked great and I wanted something to remember our trip so we paid the price of $15 each. When looking at them on their computer monitors they looked great. When emailed the next day they were 120kb in size. I didn't see what kind of camera (Canon, Olympus, etc) they were using but it had a big lens and they looked clear on their monitors. I understand internet bandwidth in Belize might not be the best but for $15 a picture I'd expect full resolution and a file size of at least a MB or two. If you printed these off at home they'd look awful. I'm in my 40s and I don't think the first camera I had on a cell phone took pictures that small. They did email me to confirm receipt and I asked for the full resolution pictures but have not received a response.
THE HIGHS:
Zip Lining - I had never been zip lining and had a good time. Others on our tour who had been zip lining in the past commented how good this experience was.
Cave Tubing - The tubing and trek to the river, as others have mentioned is a bit of a stroll. We had a guide for this portion, who happened to be our bus driver, Juan and HE WAS FANTASTIC. Talking the entire time about the plants, trees, animals, insects and birds in the Belize jungle. Which plants and animals were poisonous, which plants could help counteract against poisoning... I could listen to Juan all day. Once we got to the river he tied our tubes together and we set off. His information about Belize didn't stop once we reached the water. He passed along all kinds of information and made sure to point out interesting formations of the stalagmites and stalactites, as well as the bats in the cave. It felt the tubing could have gone on longer, but it was fun.

Had we known to bring bug spray and to avoid the crappy pictures we may have given this 5 stars.

I hate to rate this as poor because the cave tubing was fun and our guide, Kent, did a great job but looking at the pictures online I thought it would be a little more exciting and not just our guide pulling us through the water. The cave was beautiful and the water was great but it was a short ride in comparison to the VERY long walk to the cave. Also, there was a HUGE wait for the zip lining and each leg was no more than 12 seconds so you really didn't get any time to enjoy the ride. There was also a 30 minute wait between leg 3 and 4 - not worth the money. But the worst part of all was the bus ride. Our bus leader, Freddy, was fun and tried to make it enjoyable but we could not get past the bus ride. It spoiled what little fun we had in the cave. It was not just bumpy and hot but the ride was unbearable. I would NOT recommend this trip to anyone.

We did the ATV riding, zip lining and cave tubing tour while in for the day from a cruise ship. There was a medical emergency on our ship, so it delayed our tour by 2 hours. Big Bruce worked with the cruise to make sure we got our full day adventure in and the ship waited for us. We didn't have to worry about anything.

Jaguar Paw is about an hour and 15 minute drive away from Belize City, but Big Bruce kept us entertained. Once at the park, we had a good lunch and then began our activities. This tour is very active, so it might not be the right tour for someone who doesn't want to hike up steps or through the woods carrying an inner tube for the tubing part. Bring a towel and a change of clothes so you don't have to make the long trip back into the city in a wet bathing suit. Bring water shoes and bug spray. They sell these things, along with drinks and photos, but best to bring your own. You can also use a credit card here. No cash needed except for a tip at the end if you want to leave one. You can take a drink to go on the ride home.

This trip is definitely worth taking.

Interesting, worthwhile excursion that was mostly well-organized.

We booked this tour through Carnival Cruises, and we traveled to the area during our port day in Belize. Tour company was Chukka Tours; the guide responsible for you meets you in Belize City by the pier and oversees you the whole time. Our guide was a man who calls himself Big Bruce. He gave a lot of useful info on the commute to the site of tour and was very humorous and engaging.

We disembarked in Belize City, got on a bus and had an app. 1.5-hour ride to Guanacaste National Park near the town of Belmopan (center of the country). Be prepared that after arriving on site it will be another hour or so before you can actually do what you came there for. And then it’s amazing!

To get to the “launch pad” area for both zip lining and cabe tubing, you’ll be switching over to one more bus for just 2 min, to go up a short gravel road. Location has a lot of tour groups, so you will wait in line, esp. for zip lining. The rainforest is very tall and multi tiered, so you will soar with treetops far below. Enchanting. There are 6 stretches; the longest (#2) is 700 ft.

For cave exploration, you wear a life jacket and a hard hat w/ a flashlight. 1 guide per 8 guests. Guide ties your tubes together, so you don’t drift away from your group. Cave was used by ancient Maya as a burial/underworld site.

Our tour included one go-around of lunch, which was Belizean rice & beans, and some variety of jerk chicken, plus coleslaw. Simple but delicious meal!
