Become acquainted with the Dutch countryside during this 8-hour day tour with your guide through the villages of Zaanse Schans, Edam, Volendam and Marken.
Marvel at the famed windmills of Zaanse Schans as you learn of their significance to the region. Visit a clog workshop where they will carve us live this typical shoe. Take a free time to photograph the impressive landscapes.
Visit Edam, a World Heritage Site and whose old town is one of the most beautiful in Holland. Enjoy in a cheese factory, where they will show us how cheese is made. This tour includes an extensive tasting.
Lose yourself amidst the striking wooden houses and a maze of narrow streets in Volendam, the former fishing village. Enjoy some free time to taste the local fish. The Volendam's cod and herring are delicious!
Then, travel to the old island of Marken enjoing the amazing views around you. This historic place remains well-preserved to this day.
Finally we will return to Amsterdam.

Angela is a great guide, full of energy. All 4 locations were extremely busy and she managed the group well. This is really a highlights tour and is a good way to visit the 4 towns in one day. They are definitely worth visiting.

The last stop of the trip was Marken, we went by boat and we didn't spend even 10 minutes in the little town. I would have saved the money for the boat because to see what we saw he could have given us the explanation in Volendam

Our guild Richard was spectacular! We scheduled this the night before and were very pleased because we were going to try some of this on our own and we wouldn’t have had Richard and the convenience. The coach was spotless and driven excellently by Pieter.

We booked a day trip to Zaanse Schans, Volendam, Edam and Marken, with a stop at a cheese farm/factory. The tour provider was Camaleon Tours. The Viator website was easy to use and the tour description was right on. Viator provided all the info that we required before the trip. I also was able to easily move the booking up a day due weather using website. The actual tour was great, the tour guide Anna was friendly, engaging and very knowledgable. She kept it lively and took great care of us. The tour bus was in great shape and the AC was needed as the weather was unusually warm at 25C.

Our guide, Wybe, was excellent. His knowledge plus the way he delivered that information truly made for an enjoyable tour. He also indulged me while I dusted off my knowledge of the language. The amount of time that we were given at each location was just right.
