Be prepared for a long bus ride! We came from the hotel zone and took 2 busses almost 2 hours (not a big deal just a heads up).
The best part was the lazy river. We weren’t aware that some of the cool things to do cost more money so be aware of that. It’s a snorkel heavy day so if you aren’t into that you may not love it. We tried to snorkel and it kinda grossed us out, they smelt weird, unsure if they get cleaned properly so we didn’t do it. It’s really hot and you’re in the water, wear a rash guard to protect your upper body!!! You can’t always be applying sunscreen. Also bring water shoes!! We still enjoyed it, just some things I would have liked to know before hand. Food and drinks were decent! Bring a water bottle and snacks. You’ll want it for the ride home. Overall it’s a beautiful natural water park. The caves are very cool too! Pro tip: ride the bike to the lazy river. Very enjoyable bike ride (watch out for iguanas). We actually went twice, and the second time was in the late afternoon, almost no kids were on it, it was wayyyyy better. Highly recommend!

Nice place, with a lot of pick pocketing. Watch up for your stuff. Security is faulting. Use the lockers for everything.. including your bathing suits.

I booked the excursion with Jorge Martinez, who was very informative about the different trips available and helped us select the ones which were ideal for my mother and I.
The trip was great and I did pay extra for the dolphin and scuba diving as well as the spa for my mum. She also got the fish spa free.
We went down the lazy river but unfortunately did not have time to do the zip line or slide.
The food was tasty and was always full up especially with the amount of people that were there.
Our bus guide was very helpful and helped us once we got to the park. (So sorry forget your name).
Thanks to sunwing and Nexus tours for the great day.

Xel Ha was great. Waterslide was cool and there were ziplines and cliff jumping! The best part was the Nexus representative that helped us. Aldofo is the best. He constantly has a smile, super friendly, very informative, and just a pleasure to be around.

Absolutely dreadful service from Nexus Tours! My partner and I booked a winter solstice vacation trip with them, and it turned out to be a complete disaster. We were given a receipt stating that the pick-up time was at 10 am, and to be on the safe side, we arrived a few minutes early, as advised by Nexus Tours. Little did we know that we would end up waiting for almost an hour, only to discover that the actual pick-up time was 7:45 am! To make matters worse, when we tried to seek assistance after their blatant mistake, the staff was unapologetic, unhelpful, and downright rude. The associate even laughed in my face. It's appalling that they couldn't even own up to their error and offer a solution. This incompetence and lack of accountability ruined what was supposed to be a special vacation for us. I wouldn't recommend Nexus Tours to my worst enemy, and I will certainly never use their services again. They need to seriously improve their communication and customer service if they want to retain any customers in the future.

It was an incredible experience, we really wanted to visit Xel-ha for a long time, we thank Mr. Protacio from Nexus for facilitating our visit to that magical place. Our children enjoyed it very much.

Even without the extras (swimming with manatees and dolphins) it was a great day. The snorkeling was fun, the food was OK despite the mass processing and the slides were great too. I would happily go again with family or friends. One star is deducted because the biodiversity has suffered significantly compared to a few years ago. If you are looking for intact reefs, this is the wrong place for you.
