We'd been having a really awful holiday until our day here. We weren't quite sure what to expect, but it was absolutely amazing. There were so many things to see that were included in the ticket, we didn't bother to purchase any of the other activities. We were going to do Adrenaline, but it was very expensive, so we didn't bother. The bird aviary was one of the best I have ever seen. The butterfly pavilion was just stunning and it was a real treat to see the jaguars and manatees. The site is huge, and yes things are expensive, but that's to be expected in a place like this. It was busy, but there was plenty of lockers and places to get changed. The evening show was absolutely stupendous. One of the best shows I have ever seen. The performances were professional, colourful and vibrant. The show started off with showing the Mayan ball game and fire ball hockey, followed by a journey through history using music and dance. The show was professionally put together and had a real Mexican carnival feel to it. Thank you Xcaret for giving us the best day of our holiday. 👏

Amazing place! Definitely need a full day here. Brilliant for families, couples, single travellers. Did some snorkeling in the ocean bay and saw an amazing range of tropical fish, had a brilliant Mexican lunch overlooking the ocean. Swam through all the different caves and underground river systems. We also took a beautiful boat ( float ) ride. They have lots of different experiences and activities available on site. A perfect day out in mexico, full of exciting adventurous activities, authentic Mexican cuisine, culture & history. The show at night is a must see!!! There is so much to do here, you couldn't possibly fit everything in, in one day!

Unfortunately, overall this wasn't our best day. Things we DID like: The butterfly exhibit, the aviary (the birds were so beautiful!), floating through the cave rivers, and the buffet lunch! We also loved the aquarium, and the sea turtles were our highlight. For our kids, seeing all these stunning animals was really special! It was a beautiful jungle, and some of the cultural aspects were really great too. Things we didn't like: So busy! Lineups everywhere, people everywhere. The snorkeling was terrible- outside of our resort was 100 times better. It was so busy, and there were only a few types of fish. The park is just too huge to see in one day, and it was overwhelming to try and fit it in. We felt like we were just walking in the heat forever to just get to one spot. Then it wouldn't be worth it (ex. the monkeys weren't visible, the jaguar wasn't there, the snorkeling wasn't very good). It would be nice if there were transportation to and from the furthest ends. The snacks & drinks to purchase were really expensive. Tip: Don't put stuff in lockers before doing the river- it's such a long walk back! Use the bags they provide- as your bag meets you at the end of your route. Bring a collapsible wagon if you have kids. They'll be exhausted. Plan plan plan. Plan your route before- bring a map - and pick your few top things to see. We picked a few of the coloured routes- and had planned it out- and it still felt so overwhelming and we kept getting lost. Or we would miss the timing of shows. We didn't pay extra for any add-ons... but maybe that would be good...? But we spent five hours here and were exhausted, and didn't pay for any of the extra cost activities.

Definitely go there from the opening because there is so much to do and see that otherwise you miss a lot. I took swimming with the dolphins in addition there and it was a lovely and exiting experience.

You HAVE to go here while in Mexico! Xcaret was the highlight of our trip so far. The underground rivers, good food, ocean and animals are just incredible. If you want more perks get Xcaret Plus. You definitely need flippers for the rivers, it makes the experience much better as the rivers don’t move swiftly. Food is spendy so bring money but it’s worth it. The layout of the park is marked very clearly. A great place for couples or families!

Went to this event with colleagues from work. The show started off alright with some historical references, however, the animals in the show were obviously extremely stressed and sedated - the horses were forced to "dance" and were drooling from stress. Terrible treatment of animals and would not recommend this show to anyone.

I paid for the Xcaret plus package costing us approximately $340 USD as a couple to go. I thought it was a lot of money but given how incredible it looked. I thought it would be worth it. However once you got there, the guide told us to go into a line. After queuing, we found out it was for all the additional stuff you could do. Turns out, out of the entire park, your tickets only includes the underground rivers. Everything else in the park costs more $$. If we wanted to do any additional activities it was atleast $70 USD per person per activity. Honestly, we felt ripped off. A few other couples we bumped into, seemed frustrated for their situation discovering that’s all they got too. We decided to be optimistic and just try and enjoy what we had. Despite us feeling disheartened, we did try to have fun but they almost try and push you into buying more activities as the underground river takes roughly an hour and we booked the night show in our prepaid ticket. What else are we supposed to do for the rest of the day? The bird pavilion was pretty. Not worth it for $340 US dollars. Save your money and go to other tours like the Cenotes or waterpark a while you are staying in Cancun.

Visited here for the second time recently, we had visited back in 2017 when it all felt a bit rushed so we decided to come back & do it again. We booked the sea trek & it was an amazing experience, being amongst the underwater statues & fishes. After a float along the underground river we had a leisurely stroll around to see the animals & ruins & even caught the horse riding display & then the fantastic evening show, the costumes & effects were brilliant. This has to be a must for anyone visiting the area.
