Firstly, the cenotes were great, and the tour was very well organised and our guide terrific. Also, lunch was excellent.
However, several things made this experience disappointing for us.

1. We booked this tour specifically as it offered pickup at our hotel. This was confirmed to us in the booking, along with a map location. On the afternoon before the tour, we were sent a pickup location about 15 minutes away. When we contacted Xcaret, they were not at all receptive despite my showing them the guarantee that had been provided. Eventually I contacted Viator directly, and they were also not helpful. We ended up having to get Uber to to and from the pickup location. Extra expense and inconvenience.
2. You do feel a bit like cattle being herded around from place to place. This is just part of the tour I guess, but still there is little time to relax and enjoy, and you are always in a crowd.
3. There is no warning at all that the cenotes are actually a health risk, due to high levels of bacteria present (E-coli). My wife got quite sick within 2 days from the bacteria.

We really enjoyed visiting the wonderful cenotes: Adrian was an excellent guide, knowledgeable and accommodating to the needs individual members of the group. Contrary to other tour guides, he was not pushy to have us all do the zip lines or jumps. Those of us less adventure prone were able to just swim calmly in the different cenotes. Lovely trip.

A very good experience, the vehicle that transported us, the food and the excellent guides Lis and Andy! I totally recommend the tour! We had a lot of fun. Everything is very well prepared with the necessary care and the other guys in the group are very friendly!

We had a great day exploring the different cenotes. Our guide was entertaining & knowledgeable. The cenotes were amazing, especially the cenote that you repel into.

What an amazing and unique adventure visiting four different Xenotes and learning the history behind them! Our family absolutely loved this experience!!

Adrian was an incredible guide as we cliff jumped, zip lined, rappelled, snorkeled, kayaked and swam in the cenotes. Definitely recommend purchasing the photo package ($125 for a family of four) so you can relax and enjoy (without worrying about keeping track of a water case while mid air!) Jonhy took nearly 400 photos of our family! Rosalita prepared a delicious lunch with sodas, beer and wine as well. Mid morning snack included soda, coffee and tea.

Trip was just over 7 hours in total.

Other tips:
- Tight fitting water shoes are a must
- Towels are provided, so no need to bring from your resort
- Brings a credit card to purchase the photos and cash for tips
- Pick up time is in the right corner of the confirmation email and doesn’t change (I wasn’t sure if it would as we approached the date)

Great trip. The most comfortable trip we had in Cancun ever. Van is nice, all the Cenotes are maintained extremely well, and the food / drinks are great. We enjoyed the tuna poke / chips with all you can drink Modelo especial. Activities were safe and very well run. Highly recommend this trip.

We had a fantastic time on the Cenote tour! Alex, our guide, was fantastic and went out of his way to make sure that my sensitive, initially timid 9-year-old son had a memorable experience.

We left from the Xcaret Mexico hotel and headed north. It was roughly 75 minutes to the first stop: 2 cenotes where we did some brief kayaking and snorkeling (though not much to see underwater). My son wasn’t feeling well after the first stop (a combination of being a bit sick and a bit of a wuss). Alex quickly engaged with him, made some jokes and got him some hot chocolate and he perked right up!

The next 3 cenotes were far more exciting. The 2nd stop was a zipline that my son was initially afraid to try but he worked up the courage and had a ton of fun. If your 6-8 year old is scared of heights, this might not be the best experience for them, but they just might surprise you!

The next cenote has a small water slide, followed by another zipline, a short swim and then a jumping rock, roughly 15-20 feet above the water. This is probably the most fun stop. It was followed by a lunch (make your own sandwich, solid spread).

The final stop was rappelling down into a deep cenote and then jumping off of a nearby ledge a few times. The return trip was closer to 90 minutes in a small shuttle with approximately 18 people on board.

This is a very worthwhile way to spend a day in Riviera Maya.

Tip: the cost of the photo package is a bit confusing. If you are considering spending the $$$, ask the photographer for clarity and then let him know that you plan to buy if he is able to snap some awesome photos of you. Our photographer seemed extra motivated ti make sure that he got good shots of us - which he did!

Aldo our tour guide was amazing. He made the trip fun with all his knowledge and funny personality. Would do it again. Food was great, and I did things I never did before and he made it comfortable for me.
