We start our day in Porto, heading to Douro Valley in a very comfortable Mercedes Van driving through spectacular roads. We want to let you immerse in breathtaking views in a Unesco World Heritage Site. It's time for a stop in a hidden viewpoint where you will have a great opportunity to take wonderful pictures.
THE WINE AND SOMETHING MORE
We will visit a stunning old winery where you will discover more about viticulture, winemaking and wine aging. You will learn about technical specifications of Douro Wines and their Terroir. Tasting their wines is embracing the whole region by feeling its aromas, flavours and complexity.
NOT JUST WINE
Before lunch, nothing fits better than 1 hour private cruise enjoying the breathtaking views with tasty snacks and drink.

We will drive you to another exclusive family-owned winery where we will enjoy a delicious home cooked Portuguese lunch pairing with their wines and then visiting their charming property.

This was absolutely a highlight of our 2-week trip to Spain and Portugal, and we would recommend booking this tour again and again! I researched tour options extensively before landing on this one. The day was perfectly planned and so smooth. Our tour guide, José, was incredible and had amazing energy. He kept us engaged all day and had so much history and knowledge to share with us about the Douro Valley and all of Porto and Portugal. As two Americans on their first European trip AND wine tour, José and this company set the bar really, really high. I'm gluten-sensitive, and I was blown away by the accommodations made for me at every single vineyard, meal, and even on the boat tour. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Your hospitality, friendliness, and passion for what you all do is unparalleled. This was a once-in-a-lifetime experience that we'll never forget!

I was comparing several Duoro Wine Tours and ended up booking this one. And I am so glad I did! This tour was perfect from beginning to end. Our tour guide and driver Leo was a charming person with lots of humour, giving us great insights along the trip and connecting us as a group of people that never met before. This was so important as we spent 10 hours together. The tour itself was neatly organised and Leo was a very good driver. I can highly recommend this tour - yes, you will find cheaper options for tours that seem similar (but are not), but this one offers a very small group size (8 people), visits to small and authentic wineries (no mass producers), high quality wines to taste and a delicious four course lunch menu. As most likely you will do such tour only once in life, go with this operator and don‘t compromise. You will not regret it. Many thanks, Leo, you were a perfect guide and host!

Fantastic experience. We were well taken care of by our driver and guide, Bruno. The whole day was fun and very enjoyable. Lots of wines, food and spectacular views. The trip also included a boat trip down the Duro which provided fantastic views of the local wineries. Would recommend and do again.

We had an AMAZING experience!! Leandro was such a great tour guide, the Wineries (Quintas) were beautiful and the Wine/Port they served us were wonderful. We bought a number of bottles. The small boat river cruise and our lunch was also an event! An OUTSTANDING Wine Tour!!

Outstanding experience! Leo, our driver and guide was amazing as a driver and host, along with his colleagues on the tour. Takes great pride in hospitality and the culture of the Douro Valley; made our group of 8 feel like a family. Boat tour, 2 wineries/lunch was the perfect agenda and length. A must do in Porto!

Would definitely recommend as it was a fabulous experience. Bruno was great such a gentleman and looked after us so well. The cruise was so beautiful . If you're in porto and like wine then this is a must.

The scenery, countryside and time on the river were memorable. And lunch in the vineyard farmhouse was not only a fabulous meal but a truly interesting experience. Our guide started off the drive by asking everyone to introduce themselves, and that led to a fine sense of camaraderie and lively conversation. The tours of the wineries, and hearing directly from the winemakers, rounded out a very satisfying day.

5 star all the way. Our tour guide, Leonardo, was completely fluent in English, had excellent knowledge of the area and the wine making process. He was a really good driver too! He helped the entire group to feel comfortable and included. The winery tour was interesting and educational, not to mention in a beautiful and scenic place. Lunch was so delicious! It was a long day and lots of time driving on the highway. But the van was very comfortable - I asked to sit in the front as I was worried about car sickness ( didn’t happen). The big perk with being upfront was that Leo was right next to me and when he wasn’t otherwise teaching the group, I had him to answer questions and provide conversation. It was truly a privilege. The river boat tour was on a nice small boat and a few beautifully prepared snacks and cocktails were provided. It was a lovely sunny day and being on the river was just wonderful. I felt safe, respected and well looked after the entire day and learned a lot about a part of Portugal that I’d never visited before. Very highly recommend!

Carlos was an absolute pleasure to have as a tour guide. His friendliness, sense of humor, & knowledge of the vineyards we visited made this a fantastic experience we will never forget. My friend group & a couple we were paired with had a blast & learned alot from Carlos!
