We start our day in Porto, heading to Douro Valley in a very comfortable Mercedes Van driving through spectacular roads. We want to let you immerse in breathtaking views in a Unesco World Heritage Site. It's time for a stop in a hidden viewpoint where you will have a great opportunity to take wonderful pictures.
THE WINE AND SOMETHING MORE
We will visit a stunning old winery where you will discover more about viticulture, winemaking and wine aging. You will learn about technical specifications of Douro Wines and their Terroir. Tasting their wines is embracing the whole region by feeling its aromas, flavours and complexity.
NOT JUST WINE
Before lunch, nothing fits better than 1 hour private cruise enjoying the breathtaking views with tasty snacks and drink.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
We will drive you to another exclusive family-owned winery where we will enjoy a delicious home cooked Portuguese lunch pairing with their wines and then visiting their charming property.

Our Wine Venture and Boat Trip in Duoro Valley with Carlos leading our group was one of the best day trips we have had. The experience was unique and fun. Carlos has great knowledge about the valley as he grew up there. Our group of 8 pax got along very well and Carlos ensured that the conversation flowed smoothly. Lunch was delicious with a bit of theatre with the dessert!
Boat ride on Douro River with Philip and Joe was fantastic. They are very knowledgeable about their environment and a fun team to be with. Lots of jokes and sharing of experiences.
Thank you to BL Heritage Tours who run a well organised, environmentally friendly and locally focused tour giving us the opportunity to visit two local wineries and learn about the local wine and port making.

Carlos our guide was fantastic. He has a lot of passion for his job and a love for the Douro Valley. Learned about Port Wine and the history of the wine trade. Traditional Portuguese lunch was delicious. Only knock on the trip was that the wine host at the first vineyard was clearly sick, though did a nice job explaining the vineyard and products.

Jose was an amazing tour guide! He was super knowledgeable, friendly and made sure the trip was enjoyable and comfortable the entire time. The two wineries we visited were great and the authentic Portuguese lunch was amazing. Highly recommend this trip!!

Leo is a tremendous tour guide and loved the river cruise too to see the wine valley in a different perspective. Both wine locations were great and the wine is perfecto…would love to come back and experience it all again..thank you Leo for sharing your town with all of us??!!!

I cannot thank Rita enough for the fantatstic day we had today! The wineries were well planned and gave us such a diverse experience. The boat ride was an added bonus and so informative.
We had incredible food and wine pairings plus the tours of the vineyards and winereis coupled with how well the planning was - made for an unforgetable day. I would not hesitate to book another tour through Heritage Tours as they are professional and put much thought into giving their guests a unique and fun experience RITA YOU ARE AMAZING at what you do!!!!

Book this tour! It is well worth the cost and an amazing day jam packed of information (not boring), wine, amazing food, and strangers that become friends along some of the most unique scenery I’ve seen.
Leonardo was very knowledgeable, personable, and interesting-everything you want in a tour guide.
The several different options of wine were all tasty and plentiful as was the food. It is a long day, but honestly the perfect amount of time as you really get to see so much-2 different wineries as well as a personal boat tour on the river. We had the River to ourselves ?
I’ve done a lot of wine experiences and this is definitely at the top of my list! Thank you ??

We enjoyed an absolutely awesome day in the Douro Valley! Leonardo was a wonderful guide- friendly, fun, and full of information. The boat ride was lovely, both vineyards were beautiful, the food delicious, and the wine was fabulous. Highly recommend!

The Douro Valley is just beautiful, both from high up and from on the water. As if that weren't enough, a huge rainbow appeared in the sky just as we were wrapping up our experience - a fitting end to a great time.

This experience is 10/10 - would HIGHLY recommend. José was a wonderful guide - safe driving, fun interactions, and full of knowledge. We went to two small wineries and did a boat tour. The wineries each had wonderful wines (we purchased wine at each winery) and the lunch was delicious. The views were unmatched. My sister and I both feel this is one of the best wine tours we have ever done (even across Italy, northern CA, and Spain). This is a must do small group excursion for anyone interested in visiting the Douro Valley. We will continue to recommend to our friends who come to visit Portugal.

Leonardo was an amazing Guide. Visiting Quinta do Bucheiro vinery was the highlight of the tour. Lunch was a great experience in the family owned and run estate.
