We did this trip in April after the other ship we were booked on cancelled. We had to wait on the dock while some people were late - despite being told to get there early and the boat would not wait! We waited!
The boat is beautiful but we were given no information about it - it would have been nice to have some commentary from the crew - what islands were around, conditions expected and where the boat had come from would have enhanced this experience 10-fold…
We were also asked for dietary requirements- we were dairy free but it made no difference- the platter of shared cheese and dip came out with no changes or warning of what was dairy free! We had two bits of bread and two crackers with some hummus.
Overall it was nice to head out and watch the sunset although we did bob around in the dark for awhile well after sunset - not sure if that was due to being late or all part of it - suggest the boat could leave earlier to catch that sun and head back in when dark.
Overall it was ok but some small changes could really make this experience fantastic.

Worthwhile trip- 2 hours long.

Tho’ it didn’t meet my expectations, but at least the organizer was candid & friendly. The snacks & welcome drinks served were delectable.

The boat is quite small and you’re perched on bench seating with no back rest for two hours. You don’t really go very far, just bob about in the bay. One tray of cheese, dips etc to share with whole boat. One glass of sparkly wine, then you purchase. Overall had a pleasant evening but wouldn’t go again or recommend to a friend.

Such a wonderful and relaxing experience. Even though it was overcast and not an “amazing” sunset we enjoyed ourselves immensely. Definitely something everyone should do when in the Whitsundays.

Sailing is truly delightful, despite the absence of a sunset. The experience of being on the boat is simply amazing. The only challenge is the lack of clear signage and the address provided, which tends to obscure most of the port.

Lovely evening sunset cruise. The staff on board were lovely and so helpful. Lots of drink options available and a really nice atmosphere - great music choices which added to the experience.

The sail ship was very authentic. Beautiful views and sunset. We met so.e lovely people on board. As a short person it was hard to get any of the morning tea as it was too high. Otherwise a lovely 2 hours on board.

Did to venture to location as described, zero safety briefing, champagne was warm, food dumped in the middle of the boat and only 2 people told it was there was being passed around by some passengers who eventually dropped it as people were being thrown about in the choppy waves while the captain was chatting and not realising his direction.

Ropes broke off the boat when we arrived back so deckhand was throwing a heavy rope to an elderly woman passenger to catch on repeat from the jetty.
After we got tied off they hadn’t tightened the exit ropes so everyone was jumping from the boat to the jetty over half a meter while the crew watched.
Avoid
