We offer food tours that let you experience and taste Rotterdam in all its glory. Our savvy local guides will tell you wonderful stories about their city, and on the way you will stop many times for a special bite and/or drink. We let you taste the Dutch classics (bitterballen anyone?), but you also get to try many international specialties, and we end with a 'gezellige borrel' (a drink with friends) in a cool waterfront brewery. To get there we take a spectacular watertaxi ride, a must-do in Rotterdam. All in all, we have the recipe for your great afternoon in our wonderful home town!

Rotterdam food and city tour - multiple stops for beverage and local food of the Netherlands.

Impressive city. Enjoyed the guide, information, and treats along the way.

Great for cruise passengers. A 20 minute walk from the port to the start at Centraal Station ending back at the cruise pier.a good amount of walking with many city highlights including buildings, art, and statues.

Overall: great walking tour of Rotterdam combined with a handful of food stops; super engaging guide/host who took great care of us and was fun to hang out with.
Booking/schedule, etc: Booking the activity and managing changes was easy. We were contacted before our trip that our original scheduled date was likely not going to make because the minimum hadn’t been reached, and the manager gave us multiple options for rescheduling, which we did. He was very kind about confirming the changes and making sure we had good info for handling that, which I appreciated. Willem, our guide, was prompt and did a great job getting everyone “ready to go” for the tour; he also gave everyone a nice container of water to have as we toured. NOTE: Willem was contacted about 30 minutes or more into the tour by 2 people who were supposed to be in the group and were very late. We waited at our meeting point for plenty of time for them to show and then we were on our way. I mention this to provide support to Willem, who did a good job balancing the needs of the group against people who were late. Apparently they weren’t too pleased on the phone, but it wasn’t Willem’s fault that they were late.
The tour: super fun! All the food stops were fun and yummy (I didn’t love the raw herring, but the fried cod was excellent, so it’s all good. And poffertejs! Yum.) This is a great combination of activities, because you’re really getting a very thorough introduction to Rotterdam’s history, culture and important sites, while enjoying a nice portion of different foods from the city/country.
Our guide: Willem was terrific - enthusiastic, energetic, very kind to everyone, and very thorough in showing us all that there is to see and do in the city. He’s clearly a great ambassador for the city.
This was recommended to us by friends who’d also enjoyed the tour, so I’ll pass that on and encourage anyone who’s thinking about it to book it - we had a great time.

Great and knowledgeable tour guide and such a lovely walk, even in the rain. :) A shame we didn’t get to see the cube houses up close but there will be other opportunities. :)

Our guide Astrid was absolutely superb. Not only did we receive a great mix of traditional Dutch food to taste, but items that were well-known in Rotterdam. At the same time, the tour took us all around town and Astrid provided great suggestions on places to visit as well as went in depth on some of the history of the area. This was a great all around food tour and would highly recommend it.

Maria did a great job. Our tour was filled with city history, points of interest and quite a few stops for food.
The food choices in and outside the tour in central Rotterdam are mostly from international establishments.
Overall, a relaxing and pleasing tour.

We thought this was a walking food tour, but it was actually an arts tour with stops for food. We walked all over Rotterdam over the course of 4 hours. We stopped for small bites throughout the day.
Our guide walked quickly explaining the statues and pieces of art. At the end of the tour we were left at the last stop, about a 15 minutes taxi ride to the original starting place- Central Station.
The food was a French fries (Iforgoy to take a pic) 2)chicken satay skewer, 3)chicken curry sandwich, 4) fried fish pieces, 5)donut-like holes, 6) beer and cheese.
Drinks were provided at two stops. If you need to use the restroom, there was one in market place where we had the fish. You will need to pay to use the restroom.
There were 16 people in our group. We took a water taxi to our last stop. We had to share containers of food (donuts and fish)with other people.
While this was a “food” tour, it was really and art/sculpture tour. The food was described to us, but no history behind the food. If you appreciate statues then this is for you. It would have been nice to know more about the architecture of Rotterdam while we were walking. The buildings are incredible. The food was just so-so.
