Be amazed by the thousands of magical glowworms above on this 45-minute, small group guided tour, as you glide silently by boat in the world famous Waitomo Glowworm Caves. Many of the current guides are descendants of the Maori chief who originally explored the cave and can share with you the remarkable history of the area. Guided since the late 1880s, this is the original, iconic New Zealand attraction.

The glow worms were really cool and this was a very special trip. . The guide was very informative, respectful and super funny. Staff was very helpful throughout the experience. The facility is very well designed with interesting architecture and features. The history of the caves were well presented in a 15 minute film and numerous story boards added to the experience. Make sure you have good shoes on and maybe a light jacket as it can be a bit chilly. The overall experience was fantastic and well worth the money for this once in a lifetime experience.

Well organized and informative guides. Please note you are not allowed to take photos inside as it’s a sacred place which was nice as everyone was in the moment and enjoyed the experience.

This tour was magical. Such a fun adventure with couples on holiday in New Zealand. We were there in May and it was not crowded making it that much more enjoyable. We were able to even get on an earlier tour than we expected.

We were rather disappointed. For the “瑩火蟲”, we expected them to be flying all over, but these are stationary “worms”! And not allow to take photos/videos.

Absolutely beautiful. Seeing is believing. The best tourist attraction I’ve experienced in NZ. Friendly guide and well run tour. The glow worms and stalagmites are a sight to behold.

The tour was good. My issue is Viator. I booked through Viator as the price advertised was considerably less than others. It was only as you are about to pay that it is disclosed the price advertised is in US dollars. The other agents advertise their price correctly in New Zealand dollars as $75. With the currency conversion it cost ue $78NZ each. Very misleading business practise by Viator.
