Ash was a fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Truly a tour off the beaten path, and an incredible cave that leaves you with awe. The glow worms were plentiful and glowing bright!

Amazing experience. Very friendly guides, good atmosphere and a lot of fun! Very interesting and accessible cave systems with enough of a challenge if you're up for it.

Our tour was amazing. Only six of us with our guide. You wear the clothes they provide for good reason. You will get dirty and wet! You will squeeze through tiny spaces in rocks and climb giant boulders. Very physical tour!!

Ash was an incredible guide and this was a fantastic, intimate, fun experience. It was very cool seeing glowworms up close. I did not do the more touristy caves, so I cannot compare, but I highly recommend this experience!!

Truly an amazing experience! Easily the highlight of our trip to NZ! We choose this tour because we knew it would be a small group - you are treated like family. You must be in decent physical shape as you'll be climbing, splashing and squeezing through the limestone cave system. A little spooky at times but very exhilarating being inside the earth in the dark where you'll hear the water flowing through and witness the glowworms. Very humbling to realize what your eyes are processing, even before you're in the caves. You are very well taken care of and fitted with equipment for this experience. Thank you Ash and Michelle

Ash was great in making sure that all of us were comfy, safe and relaxed! Was blown away by his knowledge of the caves and his fitness for his age! All of us had a really good time in getting our feet wet and this is something which we'd really reccomend to anyone that is visiting the north island if you are generally fit and are seeking a unique experience!

I am writing this review not because anyone told me to, but because I need others to know how special a trip this is.

From the moment you pull up it feels like this is a small well run family business. When you walk in the door the experience is exactly that.

Ash was friendly and funny. Gave the history of his families land and the caves themselves. He walked the line perfectly of giving information and allowing people a chance to just take in the scenes.

There is nothing quite like when all the lights are out and it’s nothing but glow worms and the sound of the flowing river. Breath taking!

To add to the family feel of the tour Ash sends you all pics for free and they are great quality. The cookies and drinks were the perfect way to finish up the tour as we shared travel stories.

If you are wanting to experience the glow worms in a natural way with a small group you there is no better tour. Leave the big tourist tours and try out Down to Earth!
