The cultural performance and explanation was very interesting and entertaining. I also enjoyed reading about the history in the museum.

A must do in Paihia. This could easily be made a full day visit with all of the things to see and do. The museum was excellent, walking through the lush greenery to the treaty grounds was beautiful, exploring the original buildings, and having lunch at the cafe overlooking the water was all fantastic. We truly enjoyed spending time learning about the history and viewing the grounds.

What a ridiculous amount of money to pay to see this. And even worse to charge foreigners more. Its something you would see in Asia because they treat foreigners as money bags to be ripped off. Should it not be free for foreigners to see a national treasure we want them to understand and experience. $120 to see an old building and a legal document that you can read plenty about on wikipedia and by viewing peoples photos on google maps. Avoid.

Te Waitangi Treaty Grounds, and both museums contained within the grounds, are a must experience. This deep dive into Aotearoa's colonial history is factually presented in the exhibits, and brought alive through Maori guides sharing cultural and personal history, and the outstanding kapa haka group. Informative, moving, and beautiful. The grounds themselves are beautifully presented. Whare Waka cafe (re-opening Dec 1) is excellent, perfect for a bite or a meal, even if you are not entering the treaty grounds.

This is an important aspect of new Zealand's history and worth visiting. There is so much to do so allow a couple of hours at least. Some quite moving exhibits to view an always something new to learn. Some fascinating stories here. Some things were not on offer when we visited which was a pity but still so much to see and learn.

A must see when traveling to New Zealand! A guided tour was a great start to our full day at the Waitangi Treaty Grounds and we enjoyed exploring the houses and museums at our own pace afterwards. We are thankful for all the detailed insights we acquired about New Zealand's history. The cultural performance was a great experience not to be missed.

It’s a bit pricey at 60 dollars each but well worth the guided tour and Māori dance experience you get included in the ticket price. Entry price is for two days. Our tour guide tried to put us off due to the cost but worth every UK penny. Exchange rate at the time of writing is 48p to the dollar allow 3 to 4 hours

We thoroughly enjoyed the 11am cultural session in the Treaty House. Explanation about the Treaty House and the display of outfits, dancing, weapons and cultural items was very informative in an interesting way. The Price of Citizenship and the Museum were both excellent. Well set out, modern and interesting. Cafe was good too!
