Not sure why your operator shows pictures of orange lava because that is not where the hike goes. Roads are closed in that area for hiking. My nephews took the hike and did not get close enough to see the orange lava. Big disappointment.

We had a very positive experience on our tour with Fransie in February. We had a gorgeous day, a wonderful hike, and Fransie was a perfect guide. We learned a lot from her. She is very knowledgeable and a natural teacher. She is engaging and very passionate about geology. We loved it.
We had a group of 8 take a private tour. The small group and personal instruction were great. She made everyone feel welcome and important and did a great job of connecting with everyone from the youngest to the oldest on a personal level.
Aside from volcanos and geology, she made great restaurant recommendations and thoughts about what to do in Reykjavik. We highly recommend your company and Fransie's expert guiding.

We had a lovely trip up to the volcano, and got to see the geological feats of Iceland. Everything was explained in a clear and interesting manner. We were especially happy with our guide Guiseppe, who was fun, energetic and full of knowledge. We also had a stop at some hot-spots and the black beaches. Would recommend for anyone going to Iceland, thanks for a lovely trip Guiseppe.

Extremely interesting and very good fun, couldn't recommend this any more. Planned tour was unfortunately cancelled due to poor weather but was offered an alternative instead of a lava tunnel!

Went out with our guide Giuseppe and got to see the lava fields and learn about the geology of the region and how that has shaped the landscape we hiked. Saw breathtaking views, and really learned a lot. This was the best tour I took for my entire trip.

From the start to the finish we were be taught about Iceland's volcanos. It was such a good day trip. Walking on safe bits 2021 lava, walking up to look down on the flows. It even snowed Our tour geologist was so excited about volcanos and that was infectious - this was a really good day trip

Tour guide was informative and the views were amazing. All tour guides are geologists so they provided a very educated and interesting perspective on the volcano as well as the sedimentation.

A great day out! Guided by our geologist, France, we learnt all about the 21, 22 and 23 eruptions. We were able to look at the lava flow and climb up to view the eruption craters from a distance.
This was a well organised tour and France was not only an expert but she was approachable throughout.
We struggled a little with the hike but we weren't rushed or made to feel bad.
Would recommend and would do again!
