We’d been to the Louvre before on our own, but it was much better with a guide! Matteo is knowledgeable and passionate about the Louvre’s art and history, and very helpful in navigating the museum. Plus skipping the line at admission is a big perk!

Matteo was the most fun, knowledgeable guide we could have ever had for our first visit to the Louvre. He was so accommodating with our one member who had a broken ankle and adjusted his tour to make sure he was comfortable.

Our tour guide Matteo was a true delight, incredibly knowledgeable and engaging, and was the best tour guide we’ve experienced - loved the tour, loved his insights and he was incredible. We have had tour guides before and even showing us around the Louvre, and he’s the best we’ve had. Thank you so much, we had a wonderful experience!

Matteo was excellent. We had a fun and personalized visit to the Louve. Matteo was great in showing us the highlights of the museum. He was truly a pro and very knowledgeable! Highly recommend.

What an experience! As it was off season, so it was like having a private tour. Matteo was a fantastic guide full of information and enthusiasm. Best way to dip your toe into the wonders of the Louvre.

Our visit to the Louvre with Matteo as a guide was well worth it. He was friendly, easygoing, & knowledgeable. With his background in urban studies, geography, & history, he was able to share with me & my three tween-/teenagers a unique perspective about the museum & a number of the classics in its collection. And I appreciate that he limited the group to just our reservation bc we got his personal attention & he addressed our inquiries. But it was also interactive & we were able to share with him our insights, particularly observations from my 12-year old who was able to point out things the grown-ups missed.
Except for a little issue — that has nothing to do with Matteo — with a rude museum staff at the initial pass (leading to the security line), who refused to honor a printed ticket without describing our options, everything went well. Had it not been for another staff member who was more relatable, we would have been refused entry despite having proper tickets. To avoid the hassle, lesson learned: get e-tickets bc some staff do not trust their own paper ticketing system & unreasonably assumes paper tickets get obtained illegally.
