Can't recommend this tour enough. Without a car you couldn't do this in a day on public transport.

Hotel pick ups were seemless and stress free. Tour guide, Leslie, was incredibly knowledgeable on the history along the route, I didn't expect that element of the tour so was pleasantly surprised. He provided detail information on timings and pickups with maps for each visit, which also took the stress out of finding out where you were Perfect amount of time in Victoria and Butchart Gardens.
So pleased, and I don't do coach tours!

We really enjoyed this tour. The gardens were beautiful and had a great time walking around Victoria. Our Westcoast Representative, Senan Maeennis, did a wonderful job with taking us on our tour. He give us several lunch recommendations in Victoria and made sure to accommodate everyone's needs.

"The Butchart Gardens is a 119-year-old internationally-renowned 55-acre display garden located in Brentwood Bay, British Columbia. Created by Jennie Butchart, and still privately owned and operated by the family, The Gardens was designated a National Historic Site of Canada, in 2004 for its one hundredth birthday .These gardens are a must-visit! They are absolutely stunning in layout, variety, plant species and colour! There is a map with arrows indicating a suggested route, as well as a best route to avoid stairs. If time does not allow you to view all of the garden areas, make sure to see the Sunken Garden!
Plants are unlabelled to keep the feel of a private garden, however, a detailed "Flower and Plant Guide" is provided, should you wish to identify popular flowers and plants. Wear walking shoes as the gardens are extensive, especially if you want to see them all, right across to Butchart Cove.
There are a number of amenities available - toilets, coffee shop, Gelateria, Restaurants, visitor centre and gift store.

My Oct 31st booking was cancelled by your Gray Line Agency. I chose to opt for the Oct 30th trip instead of a refund but I was charged REBOOKING fees : ridiculous, it was not a rebooking since it was cancelled on your end.
No time was allowed for a stop on the way to Victoria to get lunch until we got there at 15h30. I had had breakfast at 06h30 in the morning. So we had to eat in Victoria if we did not to eat on the Ferry, but this was not suggested to us. Once in Victoria we only had 2 hours to visit, and of that 2 hours we had to allow time to eat, which reduced the total time we had to visit the city. Not enough time in Victoria for a 250$ trip plus admin fees...

The gardens and city are marvelous. In only wish we'd had more time at both. And would have liked to have been at the gardens when it's more in bloom, though the fall colors in the Japanese garden were fantastic.

Our driver/guide truly made the trip. David Rodgers (I hope that's right!) is a wonderful story teller, bringing life to the journey and the locations we visited and drove through.

It is a long day, so be prepared for it! But worth the time for the experience.

Alex, the driver/tour guide was very courteous & informative. But the weather & season made it not as great as it could be.

The history nuggets that Alex told us during the day were awesome! The ride was easy - Alex was very clear on when and where to meet and gave us great insight on where to eat! The pickup at hotel was fabulous as well - Peter was super nice! Would highly recommend and would do this again! Just remember - when they give you a time - be ready!!

This was an awesome and worthy adventure to Victoria and Butchart Gardens! Alex, our tour guide and driver, was the best tour guide you can ask for! He taught us many things, went out of his way to make the experience exceptional, and often made us laugh with his humour! I highly recommend him as your tour guide! I recommend taking this trip, if you are visiting Vancouver with the highest regard!
