“Skip The Line” is misleading. This tour began at a Metro stop with a long bus connection to Versailles. Once there, we waited 30+ minutes in line to enter at the group tour entrance. I don’t fault the operator as the crowds are daunting. Just be warned that it is not a seamless process.

Tour Guide Stephanie was great. Getting in with tour was so easy. Length of tour about 2 1/2 hours was long enough. Saw the gardens first..glad we did. Only problem was directions given were to Statue of Louis XIV at 7800 Versailles. Don't use that...Uber took us to a place off highway where no access to area. Just tell Uber to take you to Versailles front entrance .statue is right there. Think there is another Louis XIV statue behind large pool. Confuses GPS... VIATOR TELL PEOPLE TO GO TO FRONT ENTANCE OF VERSAILLES AND THEN LOOK TO RIGHT FOR STATUE. hard to miss.

Beautiful location. A lot of walking on uneven cobblestones. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable but did not watch the group at all and we lost people trying to keep up with her pace .

What are our most memorable part of our Versailles experience?
We do not have one because our tour never happened.
The guide wasn’t at the meeting point by the Equestrian statue of Louis XIV. We looked for anybody at designated time with orange flag or identifying as Memories France operator. Attempted contact through Viator supplied messaging and did not receive any response. Later when denied refund by Viator, we were told the operator attempted communication with whatsapp. No where on website or booking details does it state we needed whatsapp or contact using outside service.
This negative review is not for tour or operator but Viator customer service and handling of our situation. We did not receive any service and denied refund based on word of third party operator over ours as a paying customer.

Our guide made the trip the highlight of our Paris visit! Cecilia (?) was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the Rich history, she went above and beyond in sharing so we could receive the full experience. She was deeply connected to each of the guests and having her guide us,m was as exhilarating as touring the palace! We recommend this experience for anyone who's considering the Skip the line tour of Versailles

Our guide Perrinne was excellent. She was very animated and knowledgeable and she brought the whole experience to life. I did not think the visit to was worth it overall because of the pushing and shoving by the crowds, and especially the long wait in our “skip the line” ticket due to disorganization at the group entrance. The rooms are beautiful, and there is some beautiful, original, famous art in the palace, But the gardens are better viewed above, and had absolutely no flowers in late April. Also, with the Olympics coming up, there was a lot of scaffolding, which was true for all of Paris.

For the cost of $225 for 2 people I thought ok Not that it was her fault but our group was moved to another location for entry and waited a long time to get in. I would not call this experience skip the line. Group very large and would choose small next time for the extra $$. She did show us a special ballroom garden which was fantastic but supposedly ticket was to include fountain but she said they were closed? Was a bit unclear about that. Okay overall as Versailles was extremely crowded. And alot of work going on w prep for Olympics so grounds directly around it all dirt but remainder nice. I would say Livia very knowledgeable!

Our guide Ivan was fantastic 😆 Really enjoyed his conversations and he kept everyone calm while waiting in the queue to get into the palace. He’s extremely knowledgeable about the time period, and the history of France in general, so we felt very comfortable to ask him questions 👌 We’re definitely far more educated on the subject of the “Louis(s)” and Napoleonic era. An absolute must while in France 🇫🇷 👌
