I would have given a five rating for this tour but the tour guide was not the best. The itinerary, the bus and the lunch were excellent. Sadly, we paid for a guided tour but could not hear the guide. Her Vox box did not work and of the 12 people on the tour, she only spoke loud enough for the two people directly in front of her to hear.

The morning started at Monet's House and Water Garden in Giverny before a light lunch with wines (red/white) and Kir on the way to Versailles. The meal was okay, but not a highlight of the trip. The afternoon was spent at Versailles with a bit of time to explore the gardens independently. Guide Julien was good and provided a good overview of what we were going to see and experience. Dropped off around 6pm. Pick-up/drop-off location is very close to the Eiffel Tower.

Our guide did a great job getting us to Giverny before the crowds. Versailles was overcrowded as expected and she did a great up job getting us through the mess with some great commentary. Lunch at the old mill hotel was lovely, but a bit too long. I think folks would have enjoyed more time at either G or V than sitting at lunch.

Our guide, Amelia (Emilia?) was fantastic. Efficient, full of knowledge, and did her best to make sure we saw everything! The tour was part guided (Monet gardens and inside Versailles palace as well as lots of info while on the bus) then we had free time to explore Monet’s house, more of his gardens, and the Versailles gardens. Highly recommend!

The two stops, Monet’s home and Gardens and Palace of Versailles were amazing. However, the guide Andre was less than helpful at times rude. He rushed us through the gardens so he could drop us at the house to tour on our own. I would have preferred to be left at our own will. All he did was offer a small amount of info. He rushed everyone and truly was a negative impact to the experience.

The food and service at the lunch spot were terrible. Rubber chicken with no flavor. A fish terrine that was already sitting out at our places when we arrived. Service was terse and rude.
The guides were not very informative at all. In addition, their microphones produced static for those of us on the back of the bus. We couldn't hear what they were saying on the way to Giverny. Just shared little tidbits of info on site. Would have been better off using the audio guide from Versailles.
Not worth the cost.

The Monet house and gardens were spectacular! Versailles was pure opulence, and lunch was quite a delicious find! Manuela our guide was warm and wonderful!

Excellent, knowledgeable guide for both Giverny and Versailles. We enjoyed a delicious lunch in a lovely special events venue in a small village.

5 stars because (1) our tour guide Steve was great! He was knowledgeable about the locations, funny, friendly and helpful. He made the day for us! (2) the lunch. We were expecting something like a bag lunch but instead we got a delicious sit-down meal at a gorgeous restaurant. Food & wine were both superb and even the picky eaters in my family enjoyed it. (3) we went straight in to both locations - no waiting around in long lines. That alone is worth the $$.
