Joris was our guide, and he made this a perfect day. The tour was well organized and punctual. They have everything ready for you when you arrive at the meet point, so it's hassle free. After the train to Versailles, shopping at the market for the picnic was fun and exciting. You can pretty much get anything you'd like. The bikes were in good working order and they were easy enough to maneuver thru the streets and eventually the park. Joris was very personable and engaging throughout the entire day. He saw my wife was cold, and offered his jacket and scarf for her. Such a gentleman. This was the best tour we've done in Europe over the last couple weeks, and Joris is a big part of that. Fantastic tour and a great way to see the ground of the Palace of Versailles. 10/10. Don't hesitate, book now!!

The Queen’s Hamlet is gorgeous! Biking around the palace grounds was easy. I’m sure it was cheaper than a tram or golf cart. T’was a must try experience!

This tour was one of the highlights of our week! Our guide was Irving and he was wonderful! He brought the history of Versailles to life and was just such a warm and congenial guide. Biking is the way to experience Versailles and we loved the farmers market and picnic!

My grandson and I had the best time and our guide Aaron was amazing. Loved going through the market before we began our tour. I will do the tour again next time I’m in Paris.

This bike tour is the perfect way to see the grounds surrounding the Palace of Versailles, because they cover more area than can be walked. The tour started in the city of Versailles where we visited the market and tasted cheese, macarons and fresh fruit before purchasing these items plus freshly baked baguettes for the picnic lunch stop along the grand canal that leads up to the Palace. We were very pleased that our guide was Michael because he had been our guide earlier in the week for a Paris highlights bicycle tour. He is a charming, well-traveled and knowledgable host. The guided tour covered the other buildings on the palace grounds before concluding with entry into the Palace itself. At this point we parted company with Michael so that we were allowed to tour the palace at our leisure. The RER train was our transportation to and from Versailles (included in the cost), which was very convenient. The pace of the bicycling portion was very comfortable. This is really an excellent way to see more than just the Palace of Versailles and learn the history of the location. We would absolutely recommend it.

Wow what a great tour! We were blessed with a beautiful, sunny day! We began with the train ride from Paris to the AMAZING fresh food markets of Versailles. Oh my goodness! I would come and stay in Versailles just for this! No wonder Parisians seems healthier than we Americans! They eat REAL food with no chemical, preservatives, and the junk we Americans must deal with!!! Off on a wonderful bike tour after that. Now I will say a few things to ensure that future customers of this tour have a good time: BE SURE you are comfortable riding a bike! That may seem like a no-duh, but we had one person who freaked out, cried and had to be attended to which made the rest of our tour late on all points and resulted in the rest of us not being able to see some of the sites as long as was planned. We were empathetic, of course to the lady (in her 20's) who had the issue. The biking part is partly on streets of Versailles to get to the gardens, but we stay in bike lanes. That said there are cars that pass by you, and you need to be mindful of cars that are parked who might just open doors or start pulling out from their parking space, but the time spent on the roads was a mere 5-10 minutes. However, in the park, you must be, of course, mindful of runners and other bikers so again be sure you are comfortable on a bike! That said, the picnic we had in the gardens eating all the wonderful food from the market was THE highlight of the day. Our tour guide, Lena, was wonderful, sweet, and very understanding of any person's issues along the way. She was also funny and just a joy to be around. Versailles, of course was amazing. Understandably, the crowds are huge and you basically (like at the Louvre) are herded with the rest of the multitude from room to room. We saw enough to get a sense of why the French Revolution occurred!!! The opulence is stunning! We have always had great success with Viator tours, and this was no exception. Highly recommend!
