Your admission ticket to the Doges Palace also includes entry to the Correr Museum in St. Mark's Square. The building was originally designed as a residence for Napoleon, and later became the Venetian residence of the King of Italy. Generally, you can visit the Correr Museum after your tour has ended. You may also have tickets for the next morning, depending on the hour of the tour you book.

• Bring your passport or ID card in order to prove your age if you have selected a discounted ticket.
• Do not bring large bags or luggage. These items are not allowed and there is no place to leave them so you will be denied entry.
• Acqua Alta (high tide) in Venice can cause delays in entering the Basilica.
• Both sites can be subject to unforeseen closures due to liturgical celebrations. In the event of such changes or closures, San Marco will be explained from the outside, with detailed explanations, followed by a pleasant walk to the famous Rialto Bridge.
• Basilica is a holy place, both men and women must wear clothing that covers the belly, shoulders and knees.
• Religious authorities may decide to suspend skip-the-line priority because of the high number of visitors. We are only allowed to stay inside the Basilica for 20 minutes.
• In case of denied access, you will be provided with entrance tickets to visit the Basilica on your own at the assigned time.
• If you take the 2:00 PM tour, the Correr Museum will be closed before your tour finishes. Therefore, you will have Correr tickets for the next day
• Please note that carrying any type of weapon or sharp objects, such as a knife, is not allowed for this tour.
• On certain dates, most travelers staying outside of Venice who are planning to visit for the day will be required to pay a €5 access fee. For further details (including exemptions) and to learn what days this fee is applicable, please visit: https://cda.ve.it
• Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
• Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes.
• Please be advised that it is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

The tour was quite well organized in terms of logistics, there was just a bit of confusion before the actual tour started.
The tour guide was very competent, funny and entertaining. Overall it was absolutely worth the money and time spent.
The only negative side, not directly related to the tour itself, is that security people filtering access to premises were not very polite.

Our guide was funny and very knowledgeable! She was amazing. Doge’s Place was incredible. The opulence was noteworthy. St. Mark’s Basilica was amazing when you understand that it was not painted but are mosaics that depict all the images. The detail is incomprehensible. Amazing!

So much beauty and history. Memorable trip. Would do it again. Need a few more restroom areas. Air conditioned areas were a respite.

Tripadvisor location brings you to the incorrect location. (See attached photo with the Tripadvisor location and the incorrect location of where it brings you when you click on the link.) I see from previous reviews that this has always been the case and for some reason the company (Walks in Europe) have chosen not to correct this? It is an expensive tour so I would have assumed they would try and ensure that every ticket selling platform had the correct location. We also did not receive any other location details via email.

The tour itself was good, the tour guide (Alesandro?) was very knowledgeable. If you have some time free it is a nice way to spend the time but the queues and the crowds take away from the experience.
If you don’t know have much time in Venice then you are not really missing out on too much if you skip this.
