6. Museo Correr
Your admission ticket to the Doges Palace also includes entry to the Correr Museum in St. Mark's Square. The building was originally designed as a residence for Napoleon, and later became the Venetian residence of the King of Italy. Generally, you can visit the Correr Museum after your tour has ended. You may also have tickets for the next morning, depending on the hour of the tour you book.

• Bring your passport or ID card in order to prove your age if you have selected a discounted ticket.
• Do not bring large bags or luggage. These items are not allowed and there is no place to leave them so you will be denied entry.
• Acqua Alta (high tide) in Venice can cause delays in entering the Basilica.
• Both sites can be subject to unforeseen closures due to liturgical celebrations. In the event of such changes or closures, San Marco will be explained from the outside, with detailed explanations, followed by a pleasant walk to the famous Rialto Bridge.
• Basilica is a holy place, both men and women must wear clothing that covers the belly, shoulders and knees.
• Religious authorities may decide to suspend skip-the-line priority because of the high number of visitors. We are only allowed to stay inside the Basilica for 20 minutes.
• In case of denied access, you will be provided with entrance tickets to visit the Basilica on your own at the assigned time.
• If you take the 2:00 PM tour, the Correr Museum will be closed before your tour finishes. Therefore, you will have Correr tickets for the next day
• Please note that carrying any type of weapon or sharp objects, such as a knife, is not allowed for this tour.
• On certain dates, most travelers staying outside of Venice who are planning to visit for the day will be required to pay a €5 access fee. For further details (including exemptions) and to learn what days this fee is applicable, please visit: https://cda.ve.it
• Clients must arrive at the meeting point 15 minutes before the start of the tour. This is due to the timed entry of the tickets.
• Tickets are timed and expire within 5 to 10 minutes.
• Please be advised that it is not possible to join the tour after it has commenced.

Doges palace entrance ceiling and paintings were marvellous. The palace was well maintained. The tour guide was very well informed of the subject n could provide information flawlessly.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the sites we toured. She was also cognizant of how we were responding. It was very cold outside therefore we stayed in the warm rooms a few minutes more to warm up. Much appreciated.

Christina was an excellent guide ! You felt there was nothing she didn’t know. We were captivated by tales from the doges palace and the basilica. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this tour it was a great highlight of our trip.

Amazing tour guide and enjoyable experience.
Only issue was where we had been told to redeem tickets first when actually its just at the meeting point. Caused confusion!

Our first excursion had been a real opening to the many magnificent places that we will be going to. St, Mark's Basilica is a treasure beyond my imagination. The same with Doge Palace. I am so glad to know of the history of Venice. It is not just a location for Gondolas and the Grand Canal but much more.

Our guide was not short of making us impressed with the 2 places. It was an eye opener for me to see it all.

Our flight was late to Venice so we were unable to get to the tour. Although I called to explain, the tour company did not care. We wasted $210 for nothing. I would not recommend this tour.

Tour was good for doge palace though the guide, somewhat hard to hear, spent too much of time going into great detail on art in some of the rooms and ran through the armory without much comment as well as the back end of the doge tour so couldn't see some of the other paintings. The tide was high, and it was chaotic getting into the cathedral despite skip the line. Lots of pushing and funneling and we got separated from our tour line, finally the guide came back to let us in with the guard. But if you want to see it this is what you have to go through in Venice, even in November!
