Claudia was friendly, accommodating and extremely knowledgeable about Venice!!! She really personalized the experience and catered to us. We loved this tour and highly recommend it. One of the highlights of our travels in Italy.

Our tour of Venice with Giada far exceeded expectations. She showed us all of the little local haunts that we had longed for, making our Venice visit perfect. The food at every stop was wonderful and the locations even better. As great as the food and locations though, our guide was the magic that made this so special. Giada is by far the most knowledgeable and well spoken we've encountered in our travels. 10/10 doesn't do her justice.

First and foremost a shout out to Giada our tour guide, who was amazing!!! We had this food tour booked through our traveling agency, not sure what to expect initially, but it was a amazing surprise! We met with Giada and soon came to realize it was going to be not only tasty but also really informative and super fun! Giada has quite some knowledge on the history of Venice and told us alot about it as we made our way to the various locations. We learned alot and we tried all sorts of interesting and delicious dishes, with plenty of options and really fun and interesting bits of information on Venice, the culture, the food and Italy itself. Giada was super fun to hang out with and really easy to talk to. She made our private tour, which can easily become a bit timid with just two people, really fun! She managed to really engage us, get to know us a bit and honestly it felt like meeting a friend. The tour lasted far longer than the agreed upon time too and we were sad when it was over. Definitely worth a tip and definitely worth booking! 10/10 Giada, we wish you all the best! Saskia and Gert.

Alexandra showed us the absolute best time on our first day in Venice. She knows her food and is a wine sommelier. She gave us so many helpful hints about how to get around the city and how to spot great true local spots. The food was out of this world! It was my favorite day in Italy. Definitely ask for her, we enjoyed her company immensely!

We met Giada yesterday for the 10 tastings of Venice tour. Not only did we experience delicious traditional Venetian food and drink we felt like we were out with a friend. Giada is so knowledgable about Venice and its history she also knows a thing or two about food and drink. We had a wonderful 3+ hours laughing and enjoying our experience. She was such a great tour guide I would highly recommend. Thank you so much Giada you made our first night so memorable.

Before I wrote this review, I tried to get a partial refund from Viator due to our dissatisfaction with the tour. They were not willing to help or emphasise with our situation and disappointment, so I will provide my feedback here for all to read.
We do not recommend this tour at all! The frustration began a few hours before the tour when the guide was trying to contact me to change the time of the tour. He was relentless going back and forth with us on a new time and new location to meet. We had only just arrived in Venice, so it was a huge distraction and inconvenience. When we did finally meet him, we had difficulty finding them at the meeting point. From the start of the tour, it was very difficult to hear him and to understand him. He decided to take us through many touristic areas and failed to show us something new or undiscovered. We thought this would be an advantage to a private tour to see some of the hidden gems and local spots of Venice. However, there was one highlight which is when he showed us how to take the cheapest gondola ride in Venice for 2 euros.
The guide was not organised with an itinerary and took us to a market that had already closed. He recommended we return the following day and gave us information on the opening hours. When we returned the following day, there was no market. We felt frustrated that he provided false information and that we trusted what he told us without double checking. Beyond that it was a waste of our precious time in Venice.
The food was nothing very special. Most of the food we tried was all fried and greasy. He did little to explain what we were trying and its significance or relevance to the region. We were not advised what was included and what we were able to choose from. It all seemed very haphazard. My husband I were offered some alcoholic beverages to try which was nice, but my children were only ever given one bottle of water to share. The price for kids and adults was the same, which seems highly unfair when the kids were not offered anything to drink.
I could continue on, but I do not want to relive this and remember overspending on this less than adequate experience.

Mina was fabulous! My husband and I booked this tour for our honeymoon on a whim, and we were so glad we did. We got a private tour (just us and Mina) around the major sights of Venice. This is a “food tour” but Mina also provides some history and cultural context, which was exactly what we wanted. Plus, the food was amazing - fried mozzarella, shrimp, cicchetti, pastries, and more. I’d highly recommend this over a group tour; it was a much more personalized experience, and we got food & history all in one!
