There was no communication for the people that came to get muse & family. We had know idea where they were picking us up at. Then we were dropped off at the buses for cruise & they did not have us on the list. We had to go through hoops to get to our cruise ship. They wanted to charge us. I said that what I purchased was to take us to the cruise port. This was very stressful & I can’t say I would do this again. I did not see in the transportation where it even said that we were taking a bus to the port after the boat taxi. Not an experience I want to remember. Really put a damper on our family time together.

We booked a Viator boat trip from our hotel in Venice to our Royal Caribbean cruise ship. The Viator boat picked us up on time and left us at a Royal Caribbean pier where we were told to board a bus for a 2.5 hour ride to the ship. Viator didn't know that the cruise ship docks 2.5 hours away? Had they said something when we booked, we would have left the hotel much earlier to allow for the long bus trip and not arrive minutes before departure.

Since my travel agent did not make transportation arrangements from the hotel in Venice to the Royal Caribbean ship, I had to make them myself. She did, however, recommend that I use Viator. My only question was, why did you only get me the transportation from the hotel to the Venice Port when it was required that I spend another $50+ per person to get a 2 hour + bus from there to the port in Ravenna? Royal Caribbean uses that port which is most inconvenient.... not your fault. Fortunately there was a bus at the Venice port which went to Ravenna. Had that not been there, what would I have done?

I booked a private water taxi to have a romantic start to celebrate our wedding anniversary, we waited for over an hour and ended up having an argument with the person who was meant to be controlling the order of the queue, he was rude and arrogant and told me to stop complaining because he couldn’t do his job properly and said go away as he was stressed!! What a joke!! The actual taxi was great just his attitude spoilt the whole experience

Flying into a new country with a different language, this is a must! These guys were waiting for us right out of customs and took us on a private boat right to our hotel. Make sure you get a hotel in Venice that has water portage. You do not want to be dragging your luggage through the streets of Venice to get to your hotel.

We booked a private transfer. Our hotel called to confirm the transfer and were told it was a group transfer and we would have to make our own way to the collection point. We called directly and were told the same thing. When we clearly would not accept this they provided the service we had actually paid for.
The transfer, when we got it, was smooth and the guide who met us was on time and helpful.

We booked this to alleviate all that can go wrong navigating Venice with luggage. The transportation sent a fax to hotel the day prior to and arrived early to pick us up with all our luggage at the hotel door. We were transported to the cruise terminal and assisted getting to check in point at terminal. (the terminal can be a bear if several ships are in port.) Lovely ride, as expected, with no hassles. Stress free and wonderful. would do it again. We had no worries. Booking prior to our trip meant that we had more time to enjoy Venice. Used December 1, 2018. stayed in Duosordoro which is much easier to navigate than more touristy areas.
