We had such a great time with Vanessa! The perfect balance between history, walking, and food! The food / drinks were plentiful and a nice variety - We were stuffed by the end! We took the tour our first night which was most helpful for the remainder of our stay (knowing what to order, resaurant recommendations, etc). Would definitely recommend this tour!

This was an incredible experience. Our guide was patient and explained everything along the way. The food offerings were great. The tour covered everything, and when it was over our guide walked me the short distance in the extreme heat to my hotel. I would recommend her and the tour to anyone interested in the history of the Jewish Ghetto in Venice.

I heard our guide's name once and never really understood it, so sorry for not using her name. She was amazing. We signed up for this tout after our chosen tour guide said he was not available. We really lucked out. Our group of nine had an amazing tour and dinner. Five very filling and delicious courses that we tried to walk off as she showed us through the Venice Ghetto and Cannareggio District. We started with a stop at a bakery for amazing almond cookies. By the time we got to the appetizer stop we were ready for more food. The Venician cocktails and little open-face sandwiches were delicious. Our guide made sure there was plenty of food I could eat since I am so allergic to seafood. I was pretty full after this stop. We moved on to a pasta course, fish course and then amazing gelatto all the while seeing interesting places and hearing great stories. We loved it!

Great explanation of the history of the ghetto and the people who lived there over the centuries. This was our first time in this part of Venice and we loved walking some of its narrow streets. We also learned about the significance of the food and drink in culture.

fThis was one of the best tours we did in Venice. First off, going to different restaurants for each course was phenomenal. They were among the best restaurants we went to in Italy. The guide was informative, entertaining, and delightful. Finally, it was great to see a part of Venice not overrun by tourists. After the tour, we took the guide's suggestion and spent more time in the neighborhood among a very local crowd and amazing sunset views. This tour far exceeded my expectations.

Guide was extremely knowledgeable and made the tour a lot of fun!! Even though we had 15 people, she talked with everyone and kept us all together. Come hungry to the tour as there is a lot of great food!!

We were sent an email 45 minutes before the tour was cancelled. As we were already walking to the start, we never saw it. Waited 15 minutes, called and texted and then found this out. Very disappointed!

October 31, 2019: Halloween in Venice!
First, this is not Jewish food being served, but believe it is all kosher. It is set in the Jewish Quarter, which was interesting to explore. Our guide, Silvia, was wonderful! We enjoyed her narrative during the tour, it was also very instructive and interesting. A great job well done. Thank you again Sylvia! It was full of wonderful gastronomic food. There was plenty to eat, including a choice of a FULL dinner serving of a pasta dish, lasagna or spaghetti with clams. The food was delicious and trying out things we had never tried before.
p.s. Halloween in Venice was fun & seeing all the youngsters in costume. The shops gave out treats.
