We did the VIP Early Entrance Vatican Private Tour with Laura and it was simply exceptional. Laura was incredibly knowledgeable and answered all of our questions. She brought the history and art of the Vatican museums to life. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone.

Elaine was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Elaine was informative, quick, precise and straight forward. Meaning that we were able to see all of the best bits, didn’t get time to get bored but also wasn’t rushed. Also, it wasn’t like a stream of consciousness in our ear, she was helpful informative with everything she said considered. Really great tour.

We loved our tour with Gabriel.
He was immensely knowledgeable and informative and looked after the group really well.
He covered so much in the time we had.
It is our first visit to Rome but we will return.

We took the Vatican early access, with Sistine Chapel & St. Peter's Basilica tour. We met at Walks of Life for a morning coffee and pastry, which was part of our tour. From there we moved in a very organized fashion to the Vatican. Our tour guide Gabriel was outstanding!! He was very passionate, extremely knowledgeable and informative. Could not have asked for a better guide. Walks of Life gets five stars. Very impressed with their commitment to ensuring a successful and fun tour.

We completed 2 tours with the What A Life group while on our honeymoon in Rome; The Vatican Early Access and the Gladiator’s Gate Colosseum. Our Vatican guide, Elaine, was wonderful!! She is so passionate about her job and her love for history is beyond admirable. We learned so much from her! We completed our Colosseum tour with Smaragda, who is also lovely. She is knowledgeable and has a good sense of humour that complimented our tour well! Should we ever return to the city in the future, we will definitely be rebooking with What A Life Tours, and you should too!! Do not hesitate to schedule your next adventure with them!!

This gets you into the Vatican very fast, no tour included so you can explore at your own pace. Recommend if you want to spend more time in specific areas

The tour experience began with a super convenient Italian breakfast from the shop next door — coffee and incredible croissants — while we waited for our small private (4 people) tour began.
Laura was a lovely guide. She shepherded us through parts of the huge Vatican Museum, explaining the history behind the exhibits, the art, and occasionally slipping through long lines because of her relationships with guides and guards. With some 27,000 visitors per day, come early, wear great shoes and travel light!
We then went to St. Peter’s, the gorgeous Basilica, where she further explained the art, culture and politics of the eras that created the complex Vatican City.
After some 6,000 steps walked and three hours behind us, she guided us to shops, food, and clean public restrooms! What a day!

I first used What a Life Tours three years ago when I visited Rome with my mother. At that time we took a wheelchair accessible private early access tour of the Vatican and also a tour of the Borghese Gallery with an art historian. Both were excellent in content and value. I rebooked again this trip with both an early access Vatican small group tour and Colloseum tour with access to the underground. Both were excellent again. Getting up in time to gather at 7 am was worth it to see the Sistine Chapel before the crowds (it’s still busy, but a fraction of what it’s like once the museum opens to the general public). Bear in mind that sometimes the Vatican Museums see as many as 40,000 a day and regularly 25,000.
I love the friendliness and expertise of the guides, who really know their stuff. Mario was our guide for the Vatican Museums; he was extremely knowledgeable, funny and gracious. Loved it! Our Colloseum tour was with
I love that small group means small group - they never overbook the tours. We were ten on the Vatican tour and that was perfect.
