George was a great guide. His explanation of the paintings in the Sistine Chapel provided good context. The page was spot on, and I would recommend this tour.

Mitra, our guide, was the best guide we have had in Italy. She is smart, funny and a bit edgy. She made our Vatican tour super informative as well as fun. We recommend her highly!

Enthusiastic guide, very knowledgeable. We missed the basilica due the pope’s presence but we knew it was a possibility as we had a Wednesday morning tour. Easy to find group directions.

This tour did not end up being what we expected. We intentionally booked the 7AM to get in super early with a small group. Our tour guide for 7 AM was a no-show so the tour company combined us with the 7:30 tour. This made our tour a large group of 20, leaving 30 mins later with many other tours. The order of this tour was St Peters first (it’s huge so not super crowded at 7:45 when we arrived) - then we left the basilica and walked outside for 15 mins all the way to the museum entrance, getting there at 9 when it was already a total zoo. Really regretted losing that half hour as we lost out on the crowd free experience we wanted.

Early morning access is definitely the way to go, as the Vatican got extremely crowded. This tour was great and very well organized.

The Vatican was extremely busy when we toured but we were able to bypass the long line with our guide. She was very knowledgeable, interesting, and covered a lot of ground despite the crowds. We were in a small group and with headsets could hear the guide perfectly. This was a great experience and a great way to see the Sistine chapel and St Peter’s Basilica during the busy season. Worth every penny and highly recommend.

Our family loved the early non crowded time, and the small group size of this tour. The only flaw about this particular tour was that we had been looking forward to having a tour of the Vatican which focused on the Catholic artifacts and visiting the religious sections. We did not have a map, and although our tour guide was very knowledgeable, she started out the tour by introducing herself as an atheist. She was very interested in archaeology, so she focused on those sections on her tour. The tour ended before visiting the Sistine chapel. She did give us verbal directions on where to go if we wanted to see more of the museum and how to get to the Sistine Chapel. However, a map or guide would have been very helpful as we were on our own.

One cannot fully grasp the importance of this tour, unless it finishes and you see the lines of people. I am not a religious person, and so are the rest of the friends that were with me. We came for the art, the history, and the opportunity to enjoy this place with as few people possible; and we did exactly that. The tour is pricey, but worth it. And despite the difficulties to organise such a tour, they are doing a great job. There are some points for improvement, but perhaps out of their power. I would definitely recommend it. Finally, a shout out to our guide, who is both knowledgeable and funny. She did a great job. Grazie, Federica. Arrivederci!

The guide was excellent. Very knowledgeable and passionate about the tour. However, as it is advertised as an early access, I presumed 7am would be the time you entered the museum. Instead we stood in the St Peters Square to listen to the history of the Vatican as our entrance was not until 8am. We then had to queue with everyone else who’s tour started at 8am. We were then told no guides were allowed in the Sistine chapel so the tour finished with the guide at the end of the museum. We then went round the Sistine chapel and Basilica by ourselves only to see guides with other tour groups in each. Definitely worth a visit but this tour seemed to be expensive for what was received.
