This was a great tour. The VW can was comfortable and big windows to see all the sights. Chad and Josh were great guides. Chad kept up the laughter and even played musical chairs so each person on board got a chance to sit in the passenger seat. He was knowledgeable and very personable. The sights throughout San Francisco were stunning and brought to life by his narration. Would definitely recommend.

So happy I booked this tour. Only had a couple days in SF and this was perfect. Chad is an amazing tour guide. Funny, energetic and super knowledgeable. I learned a lot about the city and crossed off so many things I wanted to see. I loved the soundtrack Chad played as we toured different parts. Highly recommend.

Chad is an amazing tour guide, great sense of humour and knows his SF facts. The soundtrack was awesome and I thoroughly enjoyed my time. Chad took awesome photos for me and made sure we saw it all. First time to SF and I made notes of all the places I wanted to come back and see from the tour!

Chad was an energetic, passionate and knowledgeable guide which to led to an excellent tour for newcomers to San Francisco. Throughout the tour, he provided engaging commentary, accompanied by appropriate backing music at key landmarks and sights. Additionally, Chad used props such as records (albums) and photographs to enhance the experience. As a proud local, he was adept at answering curveball questions about the city’s history, covering not only the major landmarks but also hidden and off-the-beaten-track locations. If you’re traveling to San Francisco, I highly recommend this stress-free way to see all the sights without having to drive around yourself.

Chad and his VW ‘Harvey’ were fantastic.
The weather let us down but Chad’s friendly demeanour and humour, combined with his knowledge of the city and landmarks made the tour! The time flew quickly. I recommend you do this tour at the start of your stay in SF as Chad took us to all the must see places and made recommendations of places to explore further and restaurants to visit.
We were part of a small group which made the tour more personal.
If you only do one tour, I recommend this one.

This is hands down the most amazing tour I’ve ever taken of a city by a local!!! I can’t recommend this enough!!! Chad is an absolutely FANTASTIC tour guide!! He’s very knowledgeable, funny, and passionate about San Francisco and its history. When you’re on this tour you’ll feel like a local - Chad knows everyone and everything you need to do while in the city. And traveling in the VW van is such an iconic experience!! He can go places regular tour buses can’t and finds the best paths to show us the entire city. I was only able to stay in San Fran for a weekend and after this tour I felt like I’d experienced the entire city!! He also knew all the best photo spots and humored me in my multiple jump photos. I always like to book a walking or driving tour at every place I’ve been to and this was by far the best, most detailed, and most thoughtful one I’ve been on in my 9+ years of traveling!!! 100000/10 would recommend!!!
