The Mojave Desert is a xeric desert in the rain shadow of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the Southwestern United States. It is named for the indigenous Mojave people. It is located primarily in southeastern California and southwestern Nevada, with small portions extending into Arizona and Utah.
Valley of Fire State Park is a public recreation and nature preservation area covering nearly 46,000 acres (19,000 ha) located 16 miles (26 km) south of Overton, Nevada.The state park derives its name from red sandstone formations, the Aztec Sandstone, which formed from shifting sand dunes 150 million years ago.These features, which are the centerpiece of the park's attractions, often appear to be on fire when reflecting the sun's rays. It is Nevada's oldest state park, as commemorated with Nevada Historical Marker #150. It was designated as a National Natural Landmark in 1968.

Valley of Fire State Park is just beautiful. So many amazing rock formations, ancient petroglyphs and spectacular hikes! We requested to see the Fire Wave rock and Robert, our tour guide gave us an hour to hike out to the formation and back, which was plenty of time. There were 4 other families as part of a group of 11 people total. If you are lucky enough to have Robert as your tour guide, you will hear all sorts of interesting tidbits about the park and ALL the things that reside there!! And he is happy to be your photographer! Overall, I just could not be happier with our experience! Thank you Robert!

Max, our tour guide was right on time to pick us up . He was very friendly and took the time to tell us about all of the history behind all of the stops that we made . He also took many pictures for us all. There were 8 ppl on our tour van and he took the time to talk to us all like we were friends. The tour itself was worth the money spent . We stopped at all the important areas. So again thank you to Max for making this trip enjoyable !

Just book it…valley of fire is so beautiful and the guide Max takes care of all the details and shows you the best spots! We were picked up from our hotel and we had a chance to buy a light breakfast (burrito, yogurt and coffee) at a rest stop. Max gave us plenty of time to explore and he showed us great photo spots.

Seeing the sandstone formations was amazing, beautiful and spectacular! I really liked being able to touch and walk on them and feel the red sand! It was a beautiful day too. We were part of a group of 7 tourists-everyone was nice and friendly. We took this tour on the recommendation of a friend and I'm so glad we went! My friend also mentioned that her guide was fabulous. I must say that our guide Max, was not fabulous. He was very friendly and personable but I would not recommend him. At our first stop at a Chevron, he told us we had 15 minutes which we all followed except him-he stayed there almost 30 minutes. On the trip home, he got into a bit of road-rage with a car and frankly we were scared. Although I don't know what speed he was going, most of the trip it felt like we were going quite fast. He gave us limited tour information and I must say his accent was often difficult to understand.

Very good experience with our driver. Gave us reasonable time at the spots, polite, responsible & respectful. The Van was comfortable as well.

Take this tour! It’s not a whole day just 8-2 and it was perfect! Dress for the park because it is hot and you need good shoes for the rocks! Also, bring lots of water! The views were amazing and you hit all the spots to see this amazing place! Daniel was a great guide helping with any needs you had! This is a do not miss in Vegas!

I booked weeks in advance, called the night before to get more details. I was told they finalize plans at 8:00 pm the night before and I would receive email confirmation shortly after. At 8:00, the same person called me to confirm the pickup location and time and I was again told I would receive an email shortly with more details. As soon as I hung up, I received an email saying the trip was cancelled. I immediately called and texted the number back. No answer. No call back. Never heard from them again. I scheduled an extra day in Vegas just for this trip! They could at least have the decency to tell me they had to cancel.
