River trek to a serene and secluded water pool and be astounded by a hidden canyon leading to a beautiful waterfall. Finally, explore the area and find petroglyphs carved into rocks centuries ago by our Taino ancestors and sense the connection they had with nature.
This is a challenging tour that requires a certain degree of physical fitness, balance, river trekking skills and basic swimming skills. Closed sturdy water hiking shoes are required.

My husband and I had an amazing time on this tour. Our tour guide Yamile was so passionate about the island. She was a one woman show and dealt with the bookings, driving and tour sites. We got to experience the canyons which was my main reason for going. I was obsessed with learning about the Tainos and the petroglyphs. While on the trip she also made sure to capture pictures for us.
We also got to see some hidden waterfalls and holy cow what a sight. There was no way we would have found that beautiful waterfall all on our own. Yamile knows her island and is able to show you everything so you can experience it just as a local. I would recommend her to anyone looking to have fun on this island.

Yemile was an outstanding guide -and I have been on many tours and am very picky. She has an incredible depth of knowledge of all aspects of Puerto Rico, is extremely skilful in sharing history and culture. She combines that with humor, efficiency organization. She has solid outdoors skills that keep her clients both safe and entertained. On top of that she knows how to facilitate connection between her guests and generate a rewarding group experience. Oh and she even takes personalized photos and videos that she provides afterwards. She is a one-woman business and a native of Puerto Rico and it was a pleasure to be on her tour.

This tour is worthy of the 5 star reviews! It was an incredible day. It included some short hikes, swimming in the canyon and the amazing waterfall. Yamille is a fantastic guide and resource. We learned so much about the area and Puerto Rico from her. My two adult children couldn't stop talking about the experience and were grateful for the opportunity to participate in such a unique activity! 100% recommend this tour!

Yamile is a fantastic tour guide and person-like a cousin now. She is a warm, funny, and full of knowledge…we truly enjoyed her! She is proud of her beautiful country and really enriched our visit. Small tour size is a plus. Utuado is like a small slot canyon in some areas with beautiful rocks. Petroglyphs were special to see. Lunch was authentic and yummy. Yamiles pictures and videos were a huge bonus! Gracias prima y espero verte pronto! We hope to bring the kids too!

Gorgeous scenery and super fun rocks to climb and rivers to traverse. The locations are remote- you cannot access them yourself. Yamile is a marvelous guide. We are an athletic family of four (teens ages 13 & 15) and loved this trip. Do heed Yamile’s warnings- lots of bouldering and slippery rocks. A highlight of our Puerto Rico adventure.

This adventure certainly did not disappoint! Yamile is a wonderful tour guide who knows the most beautiful off the beaten path areas of Puerto Rico. She is so good at what she does that this was the second tour we took with her. When we were planning this trip, we had so much fun a few years back on the first excursion with her that we planned this trip to Puerto Rico around Utuado Canyon and so happy we did. The scenery was gorgeous and the waterfall at the end was amazing and worth the effort! Yamile does all she can to ensure that you have a great, safe and fun day. Plus she takes the best pictures and lots of them. Although you will be tired at the end after a full day of strenuous adventure, this is an excursion you won't regret booking!

Utado canyon is a breathtaking natural marvel! This tour is not offered by many other tour companies. Yamille, the owner and operator of Puerto Rico as a local not only provides a very unique tour, but also provides excellent customer service with a personal touch. Overall value, an adrenaline packed day, and beautiful pictures are the norm with Yamille. This was not our first tour with Yamille, but it was our third and we highly recommend her for a truly magical experience!
