Visit the infamous hidden and supposedly haunted vaults beneath the South Bridge in Edinburgh Old Town. Hear tales of how the poor and unfortunate lived in these former slums. Explore these dimly lit vaults by candlelight, once the haunt of criminals, body snatchers and witches alike, said by some to now be occupied by a few of the spirits of these inhabitants long since dead.
Each vault has stories of crime, disease, death and lots more... with which your guide shall enlighten you in all the gory details! You will see a genuine witchcraft temple, recently used by a Wiccan coven and you will enter their former temple. Join us to learn why it is no longer safe for them to practice their craft in that vault.
DARE you step inside the infamous stone circle?

Lisa was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Found out lots about Edinburgh that wasn't obvious. I'm a man of few words and hope that was enough.

Did the underground vaults tour, with history of the Royal mole area on route. Brought to life brilliantly by tour guide Eric who was brilliant.

Loved learning about the history of Edinburgh how the houses were built with lots of floors and then going into the vaults.

Noticed this tour via various reviews. Whilst the tour was informative, the actual tunnel section was quite brief and only includes 4-5 small rooms.
No issues at all with the tour guide Alex, she was friendly, enthusiastic and professional

It was a nice tour, JORDAN, was great and funny! So thank you Jordan for the great story telling, even if it was horrible what the people went through back then.

The history of the vaults was quite interesting but not much additional information to what I had already read.
The guide was doing her best to make the tour interesting but her delivery was over-the-top which would have been perfect for a group of primary school children but is a bit patronising for a group of adults. There is very little to look at once underground except a couple of mocked-up vaulted rooms so ghost stories have to be told to make it more interesting.

James, our guide was fantastic! Very knowledgeable and entertaining. The tour was great!
James provided a lot of information, about Edinburgh and its history and was also helpful in giving some advice about other attractions and places to have a pint and a bite to eat.
