The day starts with a convenient and easy pickup at your hotel in or meeting point, aboard an air-conditioned and comfortable vehicle, you will be shuttled to Tulum. This archaeological site is a local landmark, since it served as a main port in the ancient Mayan civilization. Enjoy beautiful scenery along the way on this nature-filled ride.

You will priority access the archaeological site and enjoy a professionally-guided tour of the temples to see and learn about the main attractions such as the astronomical observatory of the Mayan city of Tulum and cultural buildings throughout the limits of the walls. As you leave Tulum and its turquoise background waters, you will start on your way to the next leg of the journey, a scenic cenote that as expected, has cultural and traditional significance to the Mayan culture.

Enjoy the beautiful scenery surrounding you before a smooth-ride back.

Fine if you dont mind large crowds and mass tourism. If not stay away. Takes a full day despite the info saying 10-2. Also a fine print extra payment in cash only of 380 pesos plus another 200 for renting gear. You can easily do the same tour independently for less. The cenote was very touristy and crowded. I would choose a smaller out of the way cenote. There are many of them. Also 90 min for lunch in the middle of the tour did not suit me but perhaps good for families.

Be very careful about hotel pick ups. The tour was only supposed to take six hours but it took us 13 hours because of all the extra hotel pick ups. Our tour guide was Jerry Garcia from travel Cancun experience which we bought through trip advisory. We had to wait over an hour line to get into Tulum and guide took an hour of explaining Tulum and we were only allowed 20 minutes on our own.

The Cenote was amazing. The Mayan ruins were ok to see. The tour guide was a wealth of knowledge but very hard to understand. He spoke English but very hard to comprehend what he was saying. Picking up people from their hotels in the morning took longer than we would have liked. The line was crazy at Tulum but we got there right before so we didn’t have to wait so long. People drive crazy in mexico so that was stressful.

Great day out, Gerry our guide was excellent and knew his history. The ruins were very busy. Great views from the top. Cenote swimming was a welcome cool down afterwards.

Made the booking late (the night before) and still got picked up the next day. I’m glad we made a last minute trip with Jerry. He’s kind and informative. He knows a lot of the locals so when you get lost during tour you can just ask someone if they know where Jerry is and generally they will lead you to the right path.

Edwin and Jose are amazing! Edwin is a Mayan descendant and incredibly knowledgeable about the ruins, Tulum, and even the tequila.

The Cenote that the took us to was a fun experience.

This tour is amazing, highly recommend doing it.

Good trip. Tulum ruins area is small but on a sea cliff, very beautiful setting. Cenotes are cold but beautiful. Maybe bring a snorkel mask to enjoy more. Rent the life jackets. Tour bus picked us up on time, 7:50am. Made it back to Cancun for dinner. Just know that if your pickup is in Cancun, you will be back around 6pm despite it being a half day tour. Cancun is very far from all the excursion locations with the exception of Isla Mujeres. So if you’re planning on many tours and excursions, maybe consider a Playa de Carmen or Riviera Maya hotel. Came for a friend’s wedding so had no choice in hotel location.

Our guide Jaqueline was wonderful. Spoke English well and was kind and attentive to everyone in the group. In the end, we felt we could have done without the ruins tour. Getting in took longer than the actual time spent inside. It was incredibly busy and crowded and the tour was quick. Lunch at Frostys after the ruins was great. Tacos with rice and beans, chips and salsa, and margaritas for 240 pesos (about $15usd) each. The cenote was our favorite part and we wished we had just spent the whole day there. Beautiful, clear blue water with lots of little fish. Wasn’t too crowded when we were there around 2:30-3:30 in the afternoon. Overall the day was fun and would definitely book a cenote experience again and skip the ruins. But for the whole price of the tour per person, it wasn’t bad at all.
