Thank you for a wonderful day in Osaka on this walking tour.
We covered all the famous major fun highlight!
What made this tour the most special was our guide Andy. He is a native English speaker who has made Japan his home - he has lived here for 24 years, married a Japanese woman, has three children, his life is here in Japan. He was exceedingly knowledgeable on the history of Japan, including current and past historical and social controversies. There is so much wonderful about Japan, but also many cultural issues and controversies which are just so inherently fascinating. It was very special to have the opportunity to discuss these in detail with Andy. I had so many questions - and he answered them all!
(If you have a mild mobility disability - this tour would probably still work for you. It was mostly flat ground - some steps here and there, and of course on the subway. It was about 5-6 miles of walking. I have a bad knee (osteoarthritis) and a travel cane - and I did fine on this tour with no modifications required. (I never actually mentioned it to the guides directly as there was never any complicated climbing or steps, etc.)

This was such a fantastic tour! Scott was our tour guide- and boy does he know his stuff. Being a local Osaka resident, he taught us so many things about the area, but also about Japanese culture in general, with some history too.The street food lunch we had was excellent, (no spoilers about what we had :) and all the local hot spots he showed us really added to the whole experience. We also managed to get 20,000 steps done on the pedometer; and the time just flew by. For those travelling to Osaka- you MUST do this tour.

I arrived is central Osaka last night and was rather underwhelmed by the area around Osaka station. This 5.5 hour walking tour sold me on Osaka. Andy, our guide, is English but has a Japanese family and speaks the lingo. His narrative was always interesting and edgy, which I liked. He kept saying ‘forgive me’ but not necessary as no offence taken. We had a group of ten or so and it made for a fun day. Thanks Andy.

Hands down this is the best walking tour I have done in Japan, Andy was extremely knowledgeable and considerate of everyone on the tour.
I decided to take my 2 daughters and somehow Andy managed to keep my 10yr old engaged in Japanese history and culture for over 5 hours. His tour was informative, light hearted and captivating I would do it again.
Well worth the cost and as result we decided to book the food tour Andy and his business partner offer and that was also a highlight of our trip..
Strongly recommended

We had a great day with Andy! He knows a lot about Osaka and Japan’s history. This tour is a must if you want to see some highlights of the city in one day. We stopped for lunch, did some shopping, and tried a couple of food stands in Dotonbori and the Kuromon Market. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Andy was a great tour guide! We really loved learning the history and what it’s like living in Japan. We stopped at some food stands, had lunch and drinks, and shopped in a couple stores. Couldn’t recommend this tour more to anyone looking to see some of the main highlights of Osaka.
