Don’t use this service!!! This company is very good at pass the bucks! I wrote this review after I came back from Cancún so I can promise this is what happened!

1: Fake advertising. This is not a hotel pick up and drop off service, i booked an airbnb in Cancun and I got notified one day before leaving date that they don’t offer pick up at my airbnb location, I have to all to the closest meeting point to catch the bus to the park, which is make me so disappointed.

2: I booked the combo tour product, the first day is fine even though we need to walk to the meeting point, I mean, this is terrible bc they said it is hotel pick, but anyway we took it, we understand them. However, the second day, we are going to another place, and we arrived there before 6:55, but the tour guy is not there, I asked the staff there, they said the bus to my destination is not arrive yet, so we need to wait. Until around 7:10AM, another staff came here and told us the bus is leaving already. ? This is freaking ridiculous, I arrived there before 6:55 and didn’t catch the bus. I contacted customer service to get a refund, thankfully my friend took a video on site, I use it as the evidence but guess what? They didn’t take it as evidence bc the time stamp on the video is 7AM, dude, why we wanna take a video as the first reaction after arrive the meeting point? The first reaction of any normal people is finding the tour guy and bus, and this is exactly the reason why we realized need to take a video, it was 7AM instead of 6:55, they don’t take it as the evidence and don’t refund me, this is really pissed me off.

3: the customer service is horrible, I called 3 time for the refund, every times they just said they need to report this to the top/higher manager, and I only get the response that they cannot refund me bc the operator said we are no show, but I provided evidence, what else I need to do to make this stupid company trust me instead of operator on site?

Anyway, this trip is so disappointed me and I will never use this company’s service ever again. For those friends who still even consider to buy the ticket in this company, DON’T DO IT!!!! DO JOT BUY ANY SERVICE IN THIS COMPANY!!!!

Very good experience and changed dates 24 hours before the trip and they were very helpful and accommodating .

The only thing I would have liked was to have more time at the Cenote and Chichenitza to explore more.

Xcaret was on my bucketlist, but some local people here in Playa Del Carmen told me to get to Xel Ha too, because of the natural water and beauty. So we bought tickets for both the parks including transport from the hotel. First we went to Xel Ha, which is a great park if you love swimming, relaxing, unlimited food and snorkeling, to bad they didn’t have the photo pass system working. No problem, we brought a waterproof case for our phones and a gopro, the day was great, did so many things without paying for the extra activities. Which we believe is overpriced, the park entrence fees are allready high. Make sure you got the right sunscreen that has to be ocean save( not they checked it…) but you preserve a great peace of natural park with it. Saw so many people just using spray or other sunscreen which was not ocean save! Food is fine, you can choose so many, including the unlimited drinks.

The next day we went to Xcaret, it was a short drive from our hotel, getting some explanation from the tour guide and she told us, that the photo pass isn’t working, really dissapointed this was told just as we went to the park! We didn’t bring a gopro with us, were going for the photo pass, there is nothing on their website or other ways to know that it is not working, they still make advertisements for the photo pass, so shame on you Xcaret! You should let people know in front of their day that it isn’t working inside. Luckily we did bring our waterproof cases, they sell them inside the stores, with some discount but they are so heavenly overpriced! We bought the plus admission which we really prevered to buy having some extras and lunch included. That was a great deal, food is really good. They say you have special lockerrooms for Plus admission, but everybody is walking in and out over there, so no checks or “exclusive” to plus. The same for the use of suncreen, just like Xel Ha.
Still we had an great day, starting with one of the underground rivers, floating to the end, great sightseeing. Get changed to dry clothes, went to the aquarium, turtles, manatees. After that we had an great lunch with unlimited drinks. Relaxt a little bit, went to the bird aviary, butterflies and mayan village. All are really great and a must see! Learning some of the Mexican culture too. And at the end we went to The Xcaret Espectacular, a must see, had an great spot (went in 40 minutes before starting time)
They put on a really incredible show, learning Mexican history in sports, singing and dancing. Thank you for giving us this great day, but still we are not satisfied with missing the photo pass and letting people know. And checking on sunscreen etc, it is your own rule for taking care of the nature…

Xcaret, where do I begin? From the moment I set foot in the place, it was clear that this wasn't the oasis it's made out to be. The sight of roaches scampering across the pathways and the omnipresent mold is not only a letdown but raises significant health concerns. It’s hard to believe one has to pay a premium for this “experience” when even the basics of cleanliness and hygiene seem too much to ask for. Moreover, the staff, rather than being the saving grace, only added to the disappointment with their unapologetic rudeness. And if you thought that was all, brace yourself for their relentless nickel-and-diming tactics. Everyone, regardless of how much they’ve paid or where they're from, is treated as if they're there to be milked of every last penny. A trip to Xcaret, instead of being a refreshing escape, felt like a descent into a decrepit kingdom where visitors are looked upon as mere peasants. Steer clear if you value your time, money, and sanity.

Xplor, Xei-hi, Xcartet and Tulum are a don't miss adventure.

Xplor: adventure. Plenty of crazy and unexpected twist and turns.

Xei-hi : Water Wold. Great on those days that are frequent here.

Xcaret: culture fill. Great for history buffs.

Tulum, I will choose over XICHEN. Alot more to view and do.

Expensive and overrated. I seriously doubt the waters were clean, I smell ed sewage all throughout my river swim. Also over crowded in the river, people bumping into each other, very unpleasant. They should stagger the amount of people at the beginning of the river to avoid this.
The lagoon in the beach area was green (I suspect it is algae but there’s no one around to ask)
The beach is so small and overcrowded yet again.
The food was meh!
The rest of the park is interesting, The Aviary and the Butterfly enclosures is worth a visit.
It’s a Mexican Disneyland, overpriced, overwhelming and fake. Save your money and visit Xel-ha for the swimming and the others for the thrills like Xplore.

I wish I could review these two experiences separately, as they would each receive a different rating.

Xplor (5 / 5 stars)

This place was one of the highlights of our trip. It is an excellent park with lots of very interesting things to do. There were different zip lines we could go on, Amphibious vehicles we could drive, and underground rivers and caverns we could both explore and swim through. It reminded me of what a lot of the U.S. theme parks try to look like (by making them out of plaster and styrofoam), but this was the real deal! A very cool experience that I would recommend. Plus, the food was very good.

I very much enjoyed Xplor, it was great!

Xel-Ha (2 / 5)

The one thing I will upfront say about Xel-Ha is that it is designed to take your money. The whole place is so much about making money that it's almost insulting. Your entry fee is simply that: an entry fee. To do ANY of the things in the park that are actually worth doing, you have to book them, and pay hundreds of dollars more to be able to do them. All of the "free" experiences are pretty meager and not particularly exciting. Mostly just swimming and jumping in the water. There's some bikes you can ride, and a few small rope courses you can do over the water. There's also a very tall water slide, but neither of us enjoyed it as it just spun you in circles and then unexpectedly threw you under the water.

We did the swim with dolphins tour, and even though we paid for pictures from the park, the pictures with dolphins were not included in that package. It was another $150 to get those. Secondly, so many things that we did with the dolphins were designed for a photo op, not a fun interaction. The experience was pretty cool, and we enjoyed it, but it was evident it was all set up to sell you the pictures package.

The Snuba experience was pretty cool, but limited and short and left me wanting. That said, it was probably my favorite part of the whole day just because I'd never done it before. It's a bit light on things to see though. Mostly just the outer edge of a cave (you don't go in very far at all) and a few fish.

Lastly, the all-you-can-drink bars are a bit of a joke and are meant to get you to give tips to the very "generous" servers, who are more than happy to throw in an extra shot or two.
However, I've never had more watered down drinks in my life. I mix my own drinks both for myself and guests at my home, so I'm well versed in how much alcohol affects a person. If I poured anywhere near the volume of rum they put into my drink at Xel-Ha into a drink at home, I'd be well on my way to getting drunk. But after 3 - 4 mixed drinks, plus a beer, and a shot of tequila at Xel-Ha, and not even the slightest buzz... the alcohol in the bottles at the bar are mostly water.

Xel-Ha frustrated me because it felt like it was all about getting more money from me, instead of offering a good time. By the time we were done, I was looking forward to leaving.

The tour was good but felt rushed, more time at Chichén Itzá would have been appreciated. At the restaurant they spill a drink on top of my partner. The English of the tour guides was a little rusty. The breakfast needs work, it was basically spam on a roll with a corn muffin and a school juice box.
