You've probably seen traditional Turkish mosaic lamps while exploring the tourist spots in the Grand Bazaar of Istanbul. We offer you the chance to design these lamps yourself at nearly the same price, all while immersing yourself in TURKISH CULTURE, STORIES, and legends.
✦ No experience? No problem! Throughout the experience, our instructor will be there to assist you and provide full support.
✦ We'll talk about the history of glass arts and mosaic lamps, as well as dive into Turkish culture.
✦ During the experience, you can enjoy UNLIMITED TEA and TURKISH DELIGHTS.
✦ We carefully package the mosaic lamps you create, so you can take them home with you.
***This is a FAMILY-FRIENDLY workshop, and CHILDREN are welcome to join.

It’s a great experience and we loved making our own lamps. We would wish that the room would be a bit less hot and the music selection a bit more tasteful. Apart from that it was amazing and Narjis was a great host.

We had a great time making lamps under the instruction of Yusef! He kindly accommodated us last minute and even gave us freshly baked cookies from his wife, along with tea and turkish delights! He had great advice about what colors and designs looked good together, and there were so many different types of tiles and beads to choose from. Would definitely recommend if you're looking for a nice activity to do that leaves you with a beautiful custom souvenir!
PS the entrance is a little nondescript but just message when you arrive! There's a glowing neon sign inside to let you know you're at the right place.

Friendly people a fun way to spend a couple of hours.
Don't just buy a lamp create your own.
It's fun for kids as well as adults.

I always like to do something crafty while on holiday so immediately booked this workshop.
Clear directions to the workshop and easy to find once off the tram (no more than 5 minute walk). We was met by Yusef who was really friendly and welcoming and also spoke excellent English. He explained the history of the mosaic and demonstrated what to do and helped with colour choices. Tea was provided part way through the course. The end product is so pretty and really beautiful - can’t believe I have actually made my own lamp. Instead of buying a lamp I suggest you make your own.

The studio is very easy to find and it's located in a nice area. Only 15 mins walk to the nearest tram station (Tophane). The activity room is very comfortable and Yusuf is very friendly. This is one of the activities I would recommend you to include in your itineraries when visiting Istanbul. It's really worth it.

This was such a lovely hands on class to take in Istanbul. The classroom is a super friendly environment, and the final product you get to create is so satisfying. My favorite thing I did in Istanbul!

Such excellent customer service. Very polite, helpful and patient instructor. Greeted us well and gentle demeanor. Our kids had so much fun! The lamps turned out beautiful and no one had prior experience. Amazing. Highly recommend for any age, definitely a must for families. The kids are so excited about their lamp souvenir.
They even accommodated us for an earlier time slot since we have young kids and the earlier slots filled up. I highly recommend this workshop!! 5 stars!

Our teacher was great. He explained the history of the lamps and was gave us inspiration (and confidence) in designing our lamps. He kept the tea coming and was a great conversationalist. My partner and I had fun and we are very happy with the outcome of our lamps!
