We chose to do this 6:30 pick-up private tour. Gabriel was our guide and picked us up in a good air conditioned vehicle. We arrived at Tulum shortly before 8 and there were only ten or so other visitors at that time. We had a great tour with good historical information. Bonus, photos with no one else in them. We were back to our resort by 11:00 (Puerto Morelos area). As we were leaving Tulum there were masses of people arriving in huge tour groups. This is definitely the way to go if you want to avoid crowds. It is hot, wear cool clothing, sun hat and good walking shoes. They no longer allow plastic bottled water. We knew this ahead of time and filled our reusable bottle so we had water while on the grounds, you will want water.

We arrived at the valet 7 minutes late and the very first thing our guy said to us was, “I almost left you guys no show” then proceeded to get in the car and we rode to Tulum for an hour and 45 minutes in silence.

We had a wonderful tour from Rafa and Danny. The price differential between the private tour of Tulum and non-private was well worth it. The transportation was comfortable and there were snacks and drinks for us. Very educational and knowledgeable staff - everyone was impressed.

Really liked Gabriel, the guide. Very knowledgeable with perfect English. Reason I gave a 4 instead if 5 was due to the heat at Tulum. Nearly passed out 😓 However, it was an interesting tour and all 10 of us enjoyed it. Did not realize it was about 1.5 hour drive from our resort in Cancun to Tulum but the driver was good.

Gabriel was a fabulous tour guide. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We picked this tour because we didn’t want to spend a lot of time in a bus picking up a lot of people from hotels. It was one of our family’s favorite activities. I can’t imagine doing Tulum without a guide. We wouldn’t have know where to go or all of the history behind the discovery and different structures. Gabriel also showed us the best family photo spots and took the photos for us. Gabriel was waiting for us right outside the resort. The van was comfortable and had bottled water. He got our tickets for us and guided us through Tulum. If you want to do a Cenote, be sure to contact them as that was extra. Gabriel also got our Cenote tickets for us and gave us some hints as to where to go once we were in the water. He was right there waiting with the van when we were finished.

We went on a tour of Tulum and Cobá (with an additional pit stop at the Suytun Cenote) with Nefi. Nefi's private tours of the Mayan Ruins were detailed and interesting—he is knowledgeable and well-spoken. We all left with a greater appreciation of the area's history. We loved the food at the lunch spot Nefi chose. Overall, he was a patient, considerate, flexible guide—a joy to be around! The experience was relaxing & smooth. Highly recommend!

Gabriel was an amazing tour guide! His historical knowledge of Tulum was greatly appreciated. He took care of everything and made the excursion so easy and relaxing. The Cenotes he took us to were pristine and magical. Highly recommend!
