The Tully River hosted the International Rafting Federation’s 2019 World Rafting Championships. This world class river provides a pinnacle rafting experience, with over 40 rapids ripping down through the stunning rainforest gorge surrounds. Classified as a Grade 4/5 river, the Tully provides one hell of a wild ride which ticks all the boxes for those seeking the ultimate Australian rafting adventure!
We have two Tully River itineraries, check them out below, which are exactly the same except for departure times. The Tully River is a Hydro River and we’re informed on water release, which determines when we run.

GUYS! This experience was INCREDIBLE! The day ran very smoothly with the guides always communicating with you what the plan of the day was. The transport buses were great and super useful, picking me up and dropping me off right outside my hostel. But the main event, OH WOW, the water rafting. This was phenomenal. Jonny, my guide, was SO much fun, all the guides were! Even though there were four boats on the water we all felt like we could still interact with each other. The Tully river is super fun to raft down! I always felt safe and in good hands but also had the time of my life. Before the event I was excited but I didn’t realise until after how much I NEEDED to do this. It was added to my bucket list and crossed off straight away. Pretty good tour I’d say!
After we had food at a pub as we looked at the pictures from earlier in the day. Such a nice way to end it. Thank you SO much to Jonny but the rest of the team. You guys are awesome!🙌🏻

Had an amazing first rafting experience with James. It’s was impressive to see how knowledgeable and agile the guides were. We had lots of good laughs and bursts of adrenaline. The diner at the pub was a lovely way to end the day. Would definitely recommend!

Had such an amazing time white water rafting with the team. A main highlight from my east coast trip. Jonny our instructor was 10/10 and made the activity so fun whilst keeping us all safe. For anyone thinking of doing it but feeling nervous, don’t be! There are safety lookouts at tricky spots down the river and the instructors all work together and keep eyes on each others boats so you’re in very safe hands! Honestly could not recommend it enough. Thanks team for such a great experience!

I’d highly recommend this trip to anyone who likes a bit of adventure, Pauly was an excellent guide, kept a close eye on everyone and made sure everyone had a great time. An experience I’ll never forget.

It was a mega cool trip! We had a great day with the cool guide Paul and a great team. It's been so much fun. We have experienced a lot and have also received a lot of info from Paul. He has explained and shown us a lot. The jump at the end of the rock was a cool highlight. But the entire trip was a highlight and we can recommend it to everyone.

This was by far one of the best experiences I've ever had in Australia and beyond! Special shout out to our boat instructor Tom L who was so helpful and friendly making everything easy to understand and fun at the same time. All the team were very professional and made us all feel very relaxed. The rapids themselves and the scenery were just amazing. I couldn't recommend this experience highly enough!

Initially a little bit scared however, started to feel settled with Tom talking to us on the bus ride.
Our team was with Tom L- Tom honestly thank you.. you were brilliant and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to take us through that. You kept us all calm… taking the mick at my facial expressions and just generally brilliant.
I completely trusted you and I’m extremely grateful…. Despite you splashing me while I was swimming! Haha :)
The whole thing is run so well, clear instructions throughout and the burger and cider at the end was so needed… you guys did more work and still took the time to bring us food and take it away.. what a bunch of legends!!
I genuinely wish I could do it all over again despite being knackered and looking forward to sleeping!
I would recommend this over and over again!
