For safety reasons, mountain clothing is necessary for this activity. In case you do not have the appropriate clothing you will have the option to rent.
We get to the starting point by following national route 3 for about 17 kilometers; we begin the hike at the trail’s parking lot, which quickly takes us deep into the forest.
The trail takes us close to a beaver dam and crosses the valley until finding a peat bog, where it will follow the Esmeralda river all the way to its source in the Esmeralda lagoon. After a final climb, we will get to the lagoon: frozen in the winter and dazzling us with its stunning color during the summer.
If the weather is good enough, we will have lunch by the lagoon with a breathtaking view of the Albino glacier, the lagoon, and the surroundings.
Afterward, we will take the same trail back to the transfer that will take you to your hotel.

The trekking was great. The guide explained everything very well and we fest safe. The bus came on time!!! The first activity, when the bus came on time. And the lunch was great. It was nice to have the choice for warm drinks.

Everything excellent. The guides are very friendly and informed. I emphasize that after the tour they leave you at your place of lodging. Something great given that it is a somewhat tiring tour but a thousand times recommended.

The truth is that it was incredible, I would recommend wearing good boots, a jacket and waterproof pants in case it rains and because of the mud that is generated on the trail, as well as a medium-sized backpack to carry water, the lunch that the company gives you, and a hat and gloves, etc. Violeta was my guide and the truth is that it is clear that she loves what she does and was able to solve problems that I made to her. Terrible coordination between your sales people and your guides. They say one thing and others say another. They did not comply with the agreed time. They said that at 8 o'clock then at 9 o'clock and then not at 10 o'clock. I wanted to cancel and the WhatsApp person said there was no problem and within an hour they changed what they had told me. You can go without a guide, it is not worth hiring them

The operator is excellent! The information sheet and instructions are sent well in advance, which gives us security. The guide Eugénia has experience, patience and is very careful with everyone under her care. It teaches a lesson about the city, about the biome, what we are seeing as we walk! Carry our hot water on your back for the infusion that will be served to us! An incredible experience!! I recommend it 100%.
