There’s no better place to dive into authentic Italian dishes and drinks than Rome’s Trastevere neighborhood. From enoteca to osteria, you’ll get a true flavor of what makes Rome’s cuisine so unique and delicious. Start the evening like an Italian getting to know your local guide and small group of travelers (12 people max) over a glass of wine or prosecco paired with cured meats and cheeses from the region. After, pop by a family-run restaurant making the best supplì in town for over 40 years on your way to try Rome's beloved cocktail, the Aperol spritz, at an iconic neighborhood institution. Take a short walk to a cozy wine bar to sample three types of bruschette with a glass of red and white wine. Then, sit down at a typical trattoria for a family-style pasta dinner and more wine. No trip to Rome is complete without gelato! Enjoy a cup or cone before parting ways with your guide. You’ll end the tour with invaluable insight into how to eat like a local for the rest of your visit.

We learned a lot about the Trastevere neighborhood in Rome while we filled our stomachs with excellent food and wine. This tour is a great way to see this part of the city and enjoy some Roman cuisine.

This tour is the perfect introduction to food and wine in Rome. Manuela, our guide, is passionate about her city, and especially Trastevere, a beautiful community.
We visited small shops, restaurants and bars, all family run. The food and wine were outstanding, ending with a quintessential Roman pasta. Come hungry!
Thank you, Manuela, for a beautiful evening.

Booked this on Viator as it sounded interesting to try different types of local restaurants and local food/drinks. We felt we got our moneys worth as our tour guide Fernanda was very informative and passionate about Rome and local cultures. You will learn how the locals eat, when they eat, why and what they eat, even how they eat it! We learned about their locally grown wines and tried many varieties as well as ate some delicious apperitivo's, street food and main meal as well as drink.
Recommend you try this at the start of your Rome visit so you can "eat like a local".

If there were more stars I would give them. The tour was incredible and our guide Silvia was amazing and made it so much fun and comfortable. She found some local smaller businesses. Very much worth the price with the amount of food and drink you get. I’d definitely do it again.

Silvia was such a fun and knowledgeable guide who exceeded our group's expectations. The food, drinks and tour of Trastevere on a Saturday was a memorable experience. It was well worth it and would absolutely to it again, especially if Silvia is giving the tour!

Fernanda was very knowledgeable and friendly. We learned quite a bit about Italian food, and Roman food, during our tour. She was extremely helpful with suggestions moving forward during our trip.

Fabulous local food, drinks, bars and restaurants and neighborhoods! Jean Paul was expert, fun, friendly, and kind. We really enjoyed the live music and locations, and he accommodated my husband who uses a walking stick, and my son who prefers beer.
