We saw 4 individuals and so many above water activities of each of them. Awesome.
Thanks to the warm suit we never were cold.

We booked through get for guide and it was a great experience. Option GG1 with a standard boat and not the more expensive speed boat. Very good choice because they are well installed.
We arrive in Husavik 40 minutes before departure and free parking near the church.
Good welcome. We dress with rain and cold protection so avoid backpacks. When you get in the boat, go ahead to see the whales better.
3 hours outing with an Italian guide, Mathéo I think. Alright !!
We saw whales as we hoped, what an experience.
The weather was rather nice at the beginning of May and the ocean was cool but plan to be warmly dressed, a hat, sunglasses, camera and binoculars... And patience because whales are wild animals and unpredictable.

We saw whales for the first time! And despite of doing this tour at the end of October! It was a lot of humpbacks! Although we were on the "bigger" oak boat instead of the RIBs of GG2 we reached close to the whales. Close enough to have a good look and far enough not to scare them.
The guide explained all facts and safety rules very good and enthusiastic.

We also recommend to be dressed really warm. We put on our normal north Iceland -8° clothes because we thought the upgrade with the overalls would do the rest but after 2 hours we regretted not wearing a second thermal underwear on a sunny day w/o wind.

We took the whale watching tour (on the larger boat) the first week of september and it was wonderful! We know weather and nature are quite unpredictable, so we considered ourselves lucky when we got a super calm ocean and sunshine, and we got to see a couple of humpback whales swimming calmly and a minke whale. It was awesome just to be close enough where we heard them breathe and saw tails and all. After watching these whales for a while and going to another section to see another couple of calm whales we hit the end of our tour, so headed back. At this point we were already pretty happy with our experience and the crew. And then as we navigated back another whale popped up that was splashing and breaching over and over! It was marvelous and the crew was amazing as instead of heading back because technically our tour was over, they followed this overactive whale to give us a chance to witness this beautiful creature jumping entirely out of the water. It was so graceful and powerful! Thank you to the awesome crew for directing our attention to the right places and getting us so close while keeping the whales safe. We will never forget our tour with gentle giants!

Fantastic experience! We were very lucky with the weather since for the 3 days prior to our visit the conditions were terrible. I received an email from the company to mentally prepare us for rough seas and the possibility of no sightings. On our visit the clouds were thick and the sea still a bit choppy but no rain. We had 4 humpback sightings and they were amazing. The guides were great and there was something special about this captain. During all the sightings our boat was much closer to the whale than all the other boats around us, is that just luck or purely skills?

Excellent experience! We saw 2 types of whales. Nice explanation. The only thing ai would recommend is make it a little bit shorter, Intji knit was too much time waiting for the same whale to come out again and again.

Staff are friendly and care about the safety of the passengers.The guide is knowledgeable about the habitat of the whales. The captain of the boat can respond very fast about the sight of the whales.
