Our tour of Wicklow includes beautiful scenery, historic buildings, gardens, lakes - or whatever you want, led by a local guide. We visit little villages, mountain areas, stately homes and maybe my family farm up in the Wicklow Mountains! We can visit Powerscourt Gardens (admission charge here) or Russborough House (admission charge here), drive through Wicklow Mountains National Park, and explore the valley of Glendalough. Here we will visit the ruins of the monastic city, founded by St Kevin and look at some of the seven churches and the famous round tower. If you like walking we can walk around both lakes and enjoy the dramatic scenery and lovely forest. We will also make time for a nice lunch in one of the lovely pubs or restaurants in Wicklow. Dairine is everything you’d want in a local tour guide. Punctual, informative, kind, and flexible. She arrived on time to pick us up at the train in Dublin, and took us on an excellent tour through out Dalkey and the Wicklow Mountains. She knew all the right spots and made sure we maximized the limited time we had. She also was very informative on all the history which was a great bonus. We loved our day with Dairine.
She was very professional and punctual for our trip. She thoughtfully asked what we wanted from the experience and delivered exactly what we were seeking. She was very knowledgeable about Wicklow sights.
It was a very clean and comfortable ride, and she was a pleasure to spend time with. We would absolutely recommend booking with her!

Dairine was an excellent and knowledgable guide for our day around Wicklow. She was communicative before we arrived and had a great day lined up for us so that we could just concentrate on enjoying ourselves. Her guided tour of Powerscourt Gardens really brought it to life and gave us more information than if we'd walked through alone. We also learned more about Glendalough from her than we would have without a guide, and she still gave us some free time to roam around before making sure we were back to port in plenty of time to embark our ship.

If a bus ride with 30+ people and a tight schedule doesn’t appeal to you consider a small tour by a local. We booked a trip with Dairine for an excursion throughout Wicklow. Personalized for our group, we started with an easy ride to Powerscourt Gardens and spent over an hour touring the various gardens with a short coffee break. Then headed through the national park stopping view the mountains and lakes along the way. We stopped for a wonderful lunch before heading for a 3.4 mile hike around Glendalough and its monastic city. Dairine was extremely knowledgeable and was able to offer history and perspectives as a true local guide. We throughly enjoyed our day would highly recommend a tour with Dairine.

Dairine did an incredible job helping us find our ancestral farm, parish church and family connections in Port Arlington, Ireland. She was so knowledgeable and well versed in local history. We feel that she went above and beyond to cater the day to our personal preferences and goals. After a successful morning of finding out more about our family history in the area, we enjoyed a lovely tour of Trinity College Library, the Book of Kells, the Museum of Archeology and many more Dublin highlights. My wife and I booked a day tour of Wicklow and environs, including the Powerscourt Estate and Gardens. I am a gardener and Powerscourt is a renown botanical garden and a 'must see' for me. Dairine, a native of Wicklow, imparted much entertaining and educational information of the region. We enjoyed her tour of Powerscourt as she accompanied us throughout the gardens. The history of Wicklow (and some of its more notable residents) and the physical beauty of the region are stunning. Dairine made our tour interesting, meaningful and memorable. A truly winning combination for me and my wife.

Dairine gave us an informative tour along the coast from Dublin to the Family Farm near Wicklow! We were welcomed by her Mother and Brother! Over a cup of coffee and homemade squares we shared farming experiences in Ontario and Ireland! This was followed by a tour of the sheep and beef operations complete with the wearing of “Wellies” or boots! A tour of Wicklow National Park with photo opportunities was next! As we’re seniors, we didn’t take advantage of the walking tour experiences! Shopping at Avoca was a highlight too! We continued into Dublin to view the many sites ending at the Port to board our cruse ship! Certainly, a day full of memories and new friends!

Dairine is amazing! She knows everything about everything and is very engaging, entertaining, and communicates so clearly. Her tour covers so many of the must see sights around Dublin and at the end of it, we knew so much about Irish history, culture, and natural beauty. This is one of the best tours we have ever taken!
