Once you reach the top you’ll have an amazing view of New York. It’s not too busy we were able to sit and admire the view with our hot drinks. However just beware the queue to get in is ridiculous. I paid for 12:55 entrance and it took us an hour and half to reach the top. So if your happy to wait for a long time it’s worth seeing the top

Technical issues presuming with the lifts.. however due to lack of communication I’m not sure. Ticket was 12.15, 1.30 still not in. Stuck in a red hot room, rails made wider to allows more in.. dangerous. No water offered, no explanation for people to postpone, or change times, refund or even just to leave without it. Save your time and money and stick with the empire state and one trade. Much better views. Had a flight to catch so out the lift in to another queue for 45 mins so far… rubbish

This service is very misleading they say “skip the line”, yada yada yada. You get there, and everyone else has purchased an online reservation just like you. So you WILL stand in line for several hours to convert your reservation to an actual ticket with a time slot. Get up to speed “Rockefeller Center”. Everyone else in the world allows people to purchase timeslot tickets online. Do better!

EXTREME long waiting (yes several) lines! Confusing directions, so that we accidentally went down (out of the building) in less then 20 min after we waited 2h to get up. A Real disapointment.

We went on Christmas Eve and had booked a couple of days before using the City Pass. The views from the top were amazing, there are three levels, one inside, two outside. We went up at 2.45pm and waited for sunset, which was worth it! The view of the Empire State and other landmarks, as the sun sets are beautiful. I also managed to lose my scarf inside and have to mention Garfield and give him and the other gentleman I spoke to, huge thanks for finding it. We made the mistake of coming out at the front and got carried along in the crowds looking at the Christmas tree. We were trying to get out, but there were so many people coming in that I thought we were going to get crushed, took my breath away a few times! By the time we got safely out, I was shaking and I spoke to a security guard to say there needed to be a control on place one line in, one out or people would end up crushed. The Top of the Rock was great, controls need to be in place at the bottom of the building before someone gets killed.

Paid just under $300 to bring my mother from out of town, my cousin and my girlfriend up to look at fog.

The weather was poor so we were told in advance the view would be seriously impaired. That was acceptable as nothing could be done about that obviously. However we had a 9:15 appointment. We assumed making an appointment was a reasonable expectation to assure things would run to time.
We stood for a full hour in a slow moving queue and some of the staff were less than friendly. We had instructions barked at us from we entered the door.
I’m aware all jobs come with an element of frustration especially when the public are involved. However, most of us have to treat the public with respect as part of our job. In my opinion, this would have made the experience much more enjoyable.

I wish I could give negative stars for an experience...I understand that they have a no refund policy, but for inclement weather, they 100% should. Buying tickets to this is a HUGE gamble. Our family was only going to be in NYC for one day, and I checked the weather forecast for days prior to purchasing the tickets - the weather was iffy, but there was supposed to be a break in rain for a few hours during the time we were scheduled to go. When we got there it was mass chaos. Two employees were outside yelling there is ZERO visibility on the deck. We were welcome to go inside OR wait in a line to reschedule. Even though we were only there for one day, I originally thought maybe they would just give us a voucher for another time, but I wasnt sure that was an option or if we would have had to pick an actually reschedule date, when we had none available - we never even got that far because there were HUNDREDS of people standing in the reschedule line. We would have spent half of our day in NYC just trying to "reschedule,". We thought, well, maybe there is something interesting to see inside so we decided to just go in. Nope, not a single thing to see inside, and yes, there was ZERO visibility from the deck. I had also purchased tickets to the Beam, which I imagine on a clear day is pretty cool, but this was also a huge waste. I also understand how they can't do private group photos when they are super busy, yet when we were there, there was NO line - none whatsoever, yet ONE stranger walked in behind us and put him on the beam with our family. The very least they could have done when we spent so much money on absolutely nothing is allow our family a photo alone on the beam. A huge waste of $538. So incredibly bummed, and I will absolutely NEVER do it again. (The photo I'm including is the view)
