You will then see the town of Tivoli, where you will have a break while you enjoy lunch.

Beautiful places, great tour but should be a lot longer to get a chance to see the Villas. Particularly as it requires a huge number of steps to take.

Wonderful tour! Joseph was an amazing guide and provided so much history and anecdotes that kept the tour entertaining and interesting. Would recommend! Be warned; lots of steps.

Tivoli and the villas were great and the host Giuseppe brilliant I would highly recommend.
Trip let down on two fronts the lunch very poor hard bruscheta to start average ravioli and smoked cheese was covered with Ham no good for my vegetarian wife. Yes we did on booking point out the requirement.
Second issue the coach driver constantly on phone texting, yawning and stretching constantly as well. At the end of the day your life is in his hands !!
A shame as Villa D'este gardens and waterfalls stunning.

This tour covered both of these villas very well and we had a great guide. Bus ride was easy, about 40 minutes from downtown to Tivoli each way. We have seen on past trips the most common sites in Rome so this was excellent to get outside of the city And see these wonderful villas. It was not too crowded when we went in early May, but at times I know there are schools, etc. that make it more crowded.

Tour content was great - Tivoli stunning. Hadrians interesting.
Limited time at Tivoli though.
Lots of walking - I walked about over 4 miles - which was typical in case for those who may not like to walk so far. And steps too.

Fabulous tour with Giuseppe as our guide. He grew up in Tivoli and his knowledge of all areas is very special. We really enjoyed the day.

The tour of both villas felt rushed with much missed. The included lunch was really not worth the money and too much time was allotted to this. Note: soft drinks are not included and you will be charged extra.
Its hard to recommend this tour, although public transport to Tivoli is not straight forward i think it would be a better option and give the time needed to explore the locations un-rushed,

The ruins of Hadrian’s villa were amazing. Learning about the estate and how parts were used to build Villa D’Este was so very interesting. The gardens of Villa D’Este are unimaginable!
Joseph provided excellent commentary and guidance throughout.
Highly recommended tour!

Loved the gardens and palace Claudia the guide was wonderful.

The lunch was marginal at best. Should consider another place. Dry toast with tomatoes. And pasta was not great

Our family enjoyed this tour, especially the gardens at Villa d'este. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and did a good job of navigating us around all the school groups and keeping us on schedule. Our one improvement would be to have more time to spend at the gardens; we were a little rushed when we got there, but it was by far our favorite part of the visit.
